Government has directed investigative wings to ensure that they offer protection to southern province minister Miles Sampa and ensure that the people threatening him are brought to book.
Acting Chief Government Spokesperson Emmanuel Chenda has told journalists at media briefing in Lusaka today that Mr. Sampa recently received a letter in which unknown people were asking him to leave the province failure to which they would forcefully get rid of him.
Mr. Chenda said the government was equally concerned that some political opponents are trying to use ethnicity to divide the nation.
He added that government is duty bound to safeguard the peace and stability of the country and has noted that ministerial positions are meant for national duties.
Mr. Sampa is said to have received threats from the unknown people claiming to be Tongas asking him to leave the province.

Tonga and proud of it, I’d never ever like to be associated with a thieving dishonest tribe such as Bemba. Take your trash out of our province! Take him to Chitemene land where he can be free to cut trees as he pleases. He thinks he can vomit rubbish and give a ****** appology and we’ll take it lying down? Sorry that is not the Tonga way nobalumbu, live with it…you disgust us with your natolafye, nabulafye etc…

Emmanuel Chenda’s remarks are unfortunate. “…unknown people CLAIMING TO BE TONGAS”! How does Chenda draw conclusions from a mere claim and goes on to address the nation on unfounded ‘claim’. Our leaders should improve on public relations. Minister being so tribal! Sic!

People of Zambia why the hate messages, day in day out insulting each other, lets use the energy in us to develop Zambia instead of dividing it.This country needs total overhaul and there is no time to waste on insults. This country is pathetically undeveloped, when you move from the waters of luapula province,to the mountains of muchinga & eastern provinces to the sands of western province to the garbage of Lusaka province to the grazing lands of southern province to to the hills of northen province,to the polluted copperbelt province and the swamps of northwestern province all you see is the anguish on the faces of many poor Zambians.
LETS STOP THE HATE TALK AND REBUILD THIS NATION FOR THE BETTERMENT OF THE FUTURE GENERATIONS….OUR CHILDREN AND GRAND CHILDREN

Well, what one sows is what they should expect to harvest. This is a man who told Tongas they are foolish and will never rule the country. He claimed if they want to rule Zambia they should marry urgly Northern Alliance female Baboons from Janjaweedstan! And as fate would have it, Sata transfers him to Southern Province, this appointment amounted to nothing short of a death sentence, Sata is blind in the PK Chishala extreme sense. If someone said something like this baboon said about Tongas about my people and Sata decided to transfer him to my province, “konji lilumo la naha haneli ka mu lulela fa mbando tate!”

From all I can foresee, there is going to be a dead minister, very soon. Only last week, Sata was threatening Ngoni chiefs, next will be a threat to all Tongas. The Lozis are already a festering thorn in his pratside. This presidence is in for a rough ride.

Those agrieved should NOT fall into the tribalism path when answering. If One person makes an err let us not use tribe to insult others. One Zambia should be guarded to be One nation. Let us love one another. The losers in 2011 elections must embrace the winners and vice versa. let us work to develop Zambia and stamp out avoidable careless statements that can offend others.

MY UNCLE ONCE TOLD ME THAT THINGS IN ZAMBIA HAVE TURNED UPSIDE DOWN, HE GIVE ME ONE EXAMPLE THAT IN THE 70s & 80s THEY USED TO DRIVE ON THE CARRIAGEWAY OF THE ROAD AND WATER WILL FLOW IN THE DRAIN, NOWER DAYS WE DRIVE IN THE DRAINS AND WATER FLOWS ON THE CARRAIGEWAY. I ENTIRELY AGREE WITH HIM ON THIS ONE .TRIBAL SENTIMENTS IN THE PAST CAME FROM THE UNEDUCATED AND UNCIVILIZED , TODAY THE SO CALLED EDUCATED THE “COMPUTER AGE” ARE FLAT OUT PREACHING TRIBALISM, WHAT SHAME!

Whatever tribe a president comes from is for all the people of Zambia. Wheather you rule or not ,it is not a tribal plan but God’s.
There has been no president in Zambia who has just bettered the lives of his tribalmates.
If so people feel they are born to rule others, their opinions of themselves are misplaced. Since it is very clear that some people want to bring their tribal arangements on the national political platfoam, we should seriously think of a federal system of gov,t. But we shall regret because the Lambas, solis & lenjes will kick us all out of the most developed parts of the country (i.e. c/belt & central.

In the first place, it was not the best of ideas to take Sampa to Southern Province after what he had uttered in Parliament. It is very important to be sensitive with issues of language, culture, traditions, norms and values. No region in Zambia would tolerate anybody who makes derogatory remarks against them, even if he apologises. The first cut is the deepest and what the mouth speaks, comes from the heart. For the sake of Sampa’s peace-of-life and for the sake of PF’s quest for popularity in the province, Sampa should be moved out of Southern Province.

Our education curriculum needs to be revised to avoid a future blood bath. Most of our “so called educated” today have no analytical skills which can enable them,to critically understand! the impact of their patched statement have in our counrty.
I beg all the right thinking citizens to promote the unit of our country. These few people who think they are “presidents” just because our president comes from their tribe are failures in life. They should just concentrate on legal was of improving on how best they can feed their families. H.E. SATA is a national assert not a tribal assert. Your execellency, investigate any threats on the functioning of your gov’t. I and many silent zambians want to fully enjoy the friuts of your policies. We know that some people want cofussions so that their lazziness is not exposed. As a country we are living in harmony intermarriages are across all the tribes.

let us all respect each other,am tonga and did my education in luapula and work on the copperbelt, equally there are bembas who did there education in southern province and work there, lets not allow tribalism to divide the country,it doesn’t mean when HH and MCS differs on the pact they are enermies no.let HH and MCS share a light moment to reduce this tension as it was with Levy and Andy.

Tongas why do you want to kill Sampa?. What insult did he make for him to deserve the killing?. Come on Tongas, this is not Rwanda or Bulundu where people were so primitive, start thinking and work towards togetherness. Its very true, no tribe can defeat all the other tribe alone here in Zambia using the ballot unless you go into an alliance. But if you think you HH can win an election just by getting votes from Southern Province, then you are very dull, infact ndimwe oshishita maningi, coz even if you gather the support of the Lozis (who are also tribalists), you can never win an election. These sentiments against Sampa will only reduce the chances of HH in 2016 coz the Bembas, Lundas, Nsengas,Mambwes etc… will be upset and will fear that immediately we give power to a Tonga, then Cairo road will be full of scotchcarts everywhere. So, try to humble yoselves, then the seat of Presidency will come!.
