State House has revealed that Alfred Chipoya was corruptly and irregularly re-engaged by Cabinet office as Senior Private Secretary during the transition when President Michael Sata was preparing to take office after the September 20, 2011 general election.
In a statement released to QFM today, Special Assistant to the President for Press and Public Relations George Chellah has since stated that Mr Chipoya is no longer a member of the Presidential staff at State House.
Mr Chellah says State House separated with Mr. Chipoya on 24th January, 2012 upon discovery that he was corruptly and irregularly re-engaged by Cabinet Office as Senior Private Secretary.
He says State House has learnt that infact, Mr Chipoya’s contract as Principal Private Secretary at the time, was terminated by President Rupiah Banda in 2008.
Mr Chellah says President Sata did not re-engage Mr Chipoya and was surprised to learn that he now had a new contract as Senior Private Secretary.
He says the President has since revoked this purported appointment and asked Mr Chipoya to immediately vacate office.
He has since informed the entire civil service and general public that Mr. Chipoya no longer represents the Presidency.
Mr Chellah adds that those who may deal with him must understand that they are engaging him in his personal capacity and State House will not take responsibility of any such dealings.

Zambia, like most of Africa is a paradox. This is one country where breaking laws gets you to dine with the most important people in government; upholding ANY laws gets you nowhere and at best takes decades to get the redress from them! I hope things are changing…

This story is very misleading, I beg to be corrected, I thought every appointment to state house is sanctioned and approved the President. Or maybe as has been the case in the PF government the president forgot his duties.

Chellah you are not dealing with children, you worked with Chipoya from September to January, surely all this time you could not find out if the man was just imposed on State House or not, then you are a very dull Press and Public Relations Secretary, no wonder there is circus at State House.
