8 DANGEROUS Criminals Escape Police CUSTODY In Nakonde

Eight dangerous criminals have escaped from lawful custody at Nakonde police station in Muchinga Province.

The eight criminals who include murder and drug trafficking suspects escaped on Thursday night between 01:00 and 02:00 hours after cutting burglar bars on the police cells.

Both Nakonde District Commissioner James Singoyi and Muchinga Province Police Commissioner Stanford Lungu have confirmed the development in separate interviews with the Zambia News and Information Services (ZANIS) in Nakonde today.

Mr. Lungu said police in Nakonde have since launched a man hunt to recapture the criminals.

He added that the police are also appealing to members of the public to help with information that would lead to the recapture of the dangerous criminals.

Those who have escaped have been identified as Martin Silomba, Joseph Sichone, Alinani Silungwe and Derick Sichela.

Others are Lewis Simpito, Isaac Chibesa, Richard Kalamba and Taxson Simwawa.

Wizard Nakonde is in Muchinga province and that’s were most of those names are come from . . . . Sinyinza, Silomba, Simbeye, Silungwe, Silavwe, Simpito, Simfukwe, Siwakwi, Simwinga, Sinkala etc . . . So its normal that you expect such names in a police cell. Mind you its not a prison we talking about.

How possible is that, if they were in a cell with no tools to break up. That’s a planned move by the police on duty and the criminals.

@ police u dnt know the whole nakonde police station was belt namacipa no cement and along time ago if u ar in their cells u can even scratch the wall with yo finger nails and come out sory am nt one of the escapees bt am speakin from wat i hav seen there de best is to put up a modern police station in nakonde infact officers ar harding working and alert otherwise we were going to hear escapes everyday from there.
