SOME workers country wide have awarded themselves Thursday 2/9 as public holiday to celebrate the Zambia National Football Team’s qualification to the 2012 AFCON finals, Tumfweko understands.
A country wide check by Tumfweko in some companies has revealed that 80% of the workers are not willing to report for work because they are still celebrating Zambia’s AFCON final qualification.
Some workers talked to said Thursday 2/9 is a public holiday in honour of Chipolopolo Boys semi-final win against Ghana.
And another Tumfweko random check in some schools have revealed that some pupils in some Secondary schools have opted to abash school lessons in order to have enough time celebrate with their parents who opted to give themselves a one day unofficial holiday.
Zambia Wednesday 2/8 beat Ghana in AFCON 1-0 courtesy of an Emmanuel Mayuka goal in the semi finals to advance to a mouth watering finale’ with Ivory Coast who beat Mali in another semi-final match courtesy of a Gervinho goal.
AFCON finals will be on Sunday 2/12 in Libreville.

So many assumptions with you ba tumfweko, but you do a good job sometimes but things like this will tarnish your name..This would have made sense had you posted it around 10hrs not 07:30hrs, mind you some people report for work at 08hrs and not 06hrs

TUMFWEKO, MUMFWEKO, I write to say that let us be disciplined and focused as we go into the AFCON 2012 finals slated for Sunday 12th February.
Our National Team Coach, Comrade Herve Renard has animated that we stay on the actions speak louder than words path as opposed to making pronouncements.
I personally would want us to win by 4 goals to NIL!!! That would send Drogba into retirement from African Football!!!
MY APPEAL IS LET US BEHAVE AND CELEBRATE SENSIBLY AFTER ALL IF WE ALL GET BASHED BY CARS WHO WILL RECEIVE THE VICTORIOUS TEAM, BEARING IN MIND AFTER ALL THE FUN IS OVER WE STILL HAVE TO BE PRODUCTIVE AS A COUNTRY. Go Zambia! GOAL!

I would like to appeal to our Cabinet Ministers to consult each other before making statements that could potentially bring a diplomatic stand off with an emerging super power (CHINA.
This is attributed to the ZMK3Trillion allegedly fake money in circulation which Hon. Bob Sichinga the Minister for Commerce, Trade and Industry is reported to have disclosed to the nation in the tabloids.
Isn’t there a channel that the Zambian government could have used instead of displaying information that was not readily verified, otherwise why would the Bank Of Zambia and the Finance Minister deny knowledge of such. Hon. Sichinga do not embarrass the Presidency, the Zambian people and our integrity. Shape up or Ship Out!!!
