MUGABE Tells Off Cameron “To Hell With Gay Rights. I won’t even call him a dog because my own dog will complain and say, but what have I done. To Hell With You”

Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe on Saturday told British Prime Minister David Cameron “to hell with you” over his calls to respect gay rights.
“Nature is nature. It has created male and female,” Mugabe told thousands of supporters at his 88th birthday celebration at a stadium in the eastern border town of Mutare.
“You David Cameron, are you suggesting that you don’t know that or is it some kind of insanity or part of the culture of Europeans.
“In their newspapers, that’s one of my sins. That I called (gays) worse than pigs and dogs because pigs know there are males and females. It’s even in the Bible that you create through the system of marrying.
“That’s how we were born, so we reject that outright and say to hell with you. I won’t even call him a dog because my own dog will complain and say, but what have I done.”
Cameron said at the Commonwealth summit last year that countries receiving British aid should respect human rights, including gay rights.
The issue has re-emerged as Zimbabwe drafts a new constitution, with debate on whether to follow neighbouring South Africa’s model and include gay rights in the charter. Mugabe urged youths to reject any provision for gay rights in the new charter.
“We won’t accept that,” he said. “There are other countries who have accepted that and put it in their constitutions.”
“Please, young men and women, you don’t have the freedom for men to marry men and women to marry women. You have the freedom for men to marry women. That’s God’s freedom. That’s what created you and me.” Mugabe has for decades ranted against homosexuality.
His latest attack came as UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon repeated his calls for African countries to respect gay rights, during a visit to neighbouring Zambia.

It is funny how the likes of Mugabe and most bloggers use the Bible,Christianity and God to oppose homosexuality when those principles of Bible & God were brought to Africa by the same West barely 120 yrs ago!!
If we are to use the Biblical argument then aren’t we supposed to follow Jesus’s example of praying for “sinners” rather than condemn them??
Irrespective of your side on the argument,Mugabe is using this bandwagon of homophobia to mask his economic failures,unwillingness to relinquish power even though he is 88 etc!! The guy always talks about what’s wrong elsewhere but seldom about the plight of his countrymen who die of hunger and curable diseases or just roaming the streets of RSA and UK!!

Munalian, even before the europeans brought christianity (which is an eastern religion by the way), homosexuality was still a taboo with our ancestors…probably more abhored than is the case now!
One problem, I have is that our dear president is on record to be fully in support of this worse than dog behavior! I’m almost sure that he will want it in our new constitution.

You’ve Stuck your head out among every other head of state. You’ve made a bold stance and nothing can be taken away from you. “To hell with western dog manners”. Just wondering why remove a speck in someones eyes when you have a big log in your own? who says we are all xtians? who says heaven is for you and not them? who is the judge? does the same bible you talk about talk about other things that right now you are ignoring and doing? remember the prayer of the pharisees and the sinners…whether we like or not sexual orientation remain a fact people are different.
