The Drug Enforcement Commission-DEC has arrested a Tanzanian national for being in possession of four obscene DVDs and one pornographic magazine.
The Commission has also arrested two people of trafficking in drugs.
Forty six year old Amos Sichizya of Nakonde district was arrested for trafficking in 50 bundles of Miraa.
DEC acting spokesperson Samuel Silomba says the suspect was apprehended at the Mandevu Junction in Lusaka after being trailed for over two hours.
The commission has also arrested twenty eight year old Trevor Zulu of Kanyama compound in Lusaka for being in possession of heroin.

The drug issue has become problematic pa zed, even youngsters are taking hard drugs. It’s good that they have been arrested – they probably supply school children with those hard drugs.

Foreigners coming into this country shouldn’t have it easy and arresting them is just the first step. We hope our law enforcers will not settle for a small brown envelope. As for the drugs we say selfishness and desire for quick riches has led them there! Why not buy Salaula or other clothes pa Nakonde for solwezi for instance? Prosecute them! As for that 28yr old ali tumpa mwankole! This swag thing and tryn to adopt a foreign culture must be watched.

@ SPEAR i agree with you, the way women are dressing on the street is just like pornography, so if we want to arrest people who are found with porn then we should also arrest those women who are exhibiting live pornography on the streets.

I wonder what the dec is doing in arresting the Tanzanian man when they leave Zambian’s who are selling the porn movies on the street. Let them go to the streets of Lusaka and they will see how many porn movies they will find. Let them be fair. Yes selling porn is not good but let them not just arrest Foreigners but also Zambian.

Thats society for you. The guys distributing porn and drugs are well known but pry the streets and alley-ways freely; why? Stinking corruption! Same reason as why you still see those death trap lorries ferrying timber along Chingola-Kitwe road or from Minsundu forest into town in Ndola!!! You shouldn’nt be amazed by the RTSA “not” doing anything about that yet they can feel compounded to impound a car with malfunctioning rain wipers…tut, tut!

Tell u wat, porn is cool in yo own privet room not exposing to others.Strictly for private use ONLY PLIZ.It is designed to be a sexual stimulant to those with low libido.Use it wisely even if u earn yo living selling it.

So let me get this right, If I brought my adult collection back home, some imbecile has the right to arrest me?
If we’re going to be that shallow, why stop at pornography? why not legislate all “perceived” social ills. Lets arrest the smokers, the men and women that curse in public….etcetera
Someone explain who the ****ing victim is here?? We arrest murderers because they take anothers life, rapists because they forcefully impose themselves on another…adults watching porn because???

its cool to watch and practise ama style in privacy but not going around selling anyhow.and my major concern is that these dec people should patrol these tuma video shows cos that is where children first start watching the so called blue movies.
