SOUTH AFRICAN Sangoma who predicted Zambia’s AFCON glory has warned South Africa’s Bafana Bafana that if that countries football federation does not pay him his dues, they will never win a match.
The old bugbear of poor finishing once again cost Bafana Bafana as they played to a goalless draw against Senegal in wet conditions at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Wednesday evening.
The clash, a friendly, lacked intensity, and the lack of goals underlined a tepid showing from both teams, although the Senegalese were left the happier of the sides afterwards.
For Bafana, it was a sixth match in succession without victory, and their third goalless draw in their last five outings. In the other two matches, they scored just a goal in each.
And while still coming to terms with the loss we heard media reports indicating that sangoma S’bonele Madela claimed that the team will never win a match because SAFA had failed to pay the remaining of its debt to him, according to Mail & Guardian and KickOff.com, quoting Daily Sun newspaper as reporting on 11 October 2011. It was, however, not clear which was the correct figure because while M&G Online mentioned R90, 000, KickOff.com on the other hand claimed the Sangoma was owed about R60, 000.
