Police Arrest Lusaka Man For Battering Wife To Death
A man of Lusaka’s George Compound allegedly beat his wife to death following a domestic dispute.
Patrick Kabwe allegedly beat his wife with a stick and a metal bar after she delayed to come back from the market.
His son, Patrick Kabwe junior, confirmed the incident to Muvi TV News
Patrick Kabwe went on the run before police captured and arrested him after they launched a man hunt.
Cases of gender based violence have been on the increase in Zambia with Women Non Governmental Organisations calling for stiffer penalties on perpetrators.

This trend has increasd especialy in shanty compounds ware there is less knowlegde of GBV. The same women for change other women organisation the couse of this becouse you find that most of these leaders for women organisation are not married,they wont be able to teach woment to respect their husbands but teach them only on equality, shame on thses women who even come on TV and radios teaching women to direspect their husbands in the name of gender equality,

Almost all women killed by their husbands are either acussed of having some spare man or for going home late,my question is why are our women cheapening themselves by addresing in front of other men.Women organisations should work hard on this issure other wise aids wil be difficult to control,usualy men who go out with married women are sick and do not use condom instead they lure these poor women with money.

In zimbabwe there is a law,if your wife reports u of wifebeating ,its jail time,bigtime.no one has the right to beat someone.noone owns a person if it was the case of the husband coming home late ,who was going to beat him “he who finds a wife has found a good thing”

I am happy that I have never laid my hands on my woman for almost 24 years I have been married to her. Only weak men beat their wives, strong men talk sense and love their wives. Abuse and battery should be avoided at all times. Life is short. Enjoy life.

Too much promiscuity among women leading to Gender based violence because women take it for granted that they will be supported by these same so called NGOs,
Lets kill the problem at its source by sentisingwomen and teahn them better in how to run the affairs of their matrimonial homes and by being faithful,
There no way a married woman would be out for almost two hours in search of Relish at the expense of her husband starvn after givn her a ten grand to buy relish ,
Around twenty hours for that mad,
That man should not be charged for murder because we all know that No one thinks straight when they are hungry after a long hard day , especially considering the fact that he was worried sick about the where abouts of his wife at late hours.

I noticed comments blamin the killin on women bein promiscous.. a huge percentage of men cheat on their wives on a daily basis..does this mean women should solve it by killin their husbands? this should be tackled wit prayer n guidance from Jesus on how every person sholud live. Woman or Man, a muderer sholud be jailed because this is erong..children remain opharned becyase of seflfish killins. God help us!

For this particular case only, can someone out there whether politician or business man or even govt, please can someone adopt this child and the siblings and make sure that he (they) get the needed education.

You cannot discipline your fellow adult by beating like a child, you just reason with her. mentality os certain men who think they own their wives, shame. Men who beat their wives are cowards, that strength is to protect your family and not abusing theme physically. A wife is your fellow adult and you have to treat her with respect the way she respects you. Just because she respects you, do not take it forgranted that she has no rights are she is your fool to abuse anyhow.
