NIGERIAN preacher Temitope Balogun (TB) Joshua is being touted as the king maker of Malawi’s new President Joyce Banda, and says the deceased Bingu wa Mutharika wrote to him six days prior to his death.
In a live broadcast on his Emmanuel TV station on Sunday, TB Joshua said Mutharika knew that the prophecy was about him.
TB Joshua, who heads the Synagogue Church of All Saints (Scoan), on three separate occasions, predicted the death of an African President in April. His first prophecy was on February 5, then on March 18 then the last one on April 1.
“When a prophet says I can see death, he is simply telling you to put your house in order,” TB Joshua said on Sunday. But everyone would like to hear when and how?”
“Here we are only passing through, tell your neighbour. Nine days ago, I received a letter from his Excellency Malawi President. He sent it to me because he knew I was talking about him.”
TB Joshua did not disclose the contents of the letter, which had a Malawi government emblem and the late President’s signature, saying it was “personal”.
He said Mutharika knew the end was nigh.
Mutharika, 78, then died suddenly from a heart attack last Thursday, paving way for the enthronement of Banda.
The new Malawi President, who spent the larger part of last year visiting Prophet TB Joshua’s Nigeria-based temple, became the first female head of state in southern Africa following the sudden death of Mutharika.
Banda’s enthronement has shaken-up Malawi’s political establishment and spawned conspiracy theories amid speculation that she had something to do with her rival’s death.
She was elected as the country’s vice president alongside Mutharika — but spectacularly fell out after she was expelled from Mutharika’s DPP party and formed her own People’s Party.
Mutharika had relentlessly persecuted Banda following their fallout, and during one of her visits to TB Joshua’s temple, she was quoted saying: “I have been the most victimised person in the year, but God and Malawians especially women have been faithful to me.”
A 61-year-old mother of three, Banda has been consulting TB Joshua since 2009 when her husband suffered a stroke. Her husband was healed by TB Joshua’s prayers. He recovered his voice, which had been lost due to the stroke.
Banda has ever since visited the controversial Nigerian prophet, culminating in her latest enthronement to see out the remainder of Mutharika’s term until 2014.
TB Joshua’s followers have sensationally posted on video-sharing site YouTube the doomsday prophecies in videos simply titled: “God is Still Saying Something”.
The February 5 clip says: “April. What I’m seeing on the board, I cannot stand here and begin to tell you this April this is what is going to happen, but I’m praying.
“When it’s too close and I cannot do anything about it I will say it, but I’m still talking to Father.
“But if I realise there is nothing I can do about it, and it is too close, I will talk. Whatever name you call me, call me. I will talk.”
“We should pray for one African Head of State, when I say President, against the sickness that will take life, sudden death.”
“Sickness for a long time, being kept in the body for a long time. God showed me the country and the place.”
That is followed by the March 18 prophecy, where TB Joshua reiterates that the end was close for the doomed head of State.
“You have to pray for the whole world. Is it Thursday of this week, or next week or three Thursdays coming? But what happened on Thursday?
“Before I come out to say something in your midst, I’ve been praying and praying.
“Which country? God said ‘pray for the world’.”
Then the last prophecy on April 1, where TB Joshua prophesies that the end is nigh.
“Last time, I said we should pray for a leader of a country and people gave different meanings to what I said. And I want to say God will forgive you all,” he said.
“But you cannot stop me from saying what God put in my heart. What I was saying is very close now.
“Do you want to hear more? It’s very, very close now.
“Whether you like it or not, this is what I have seen. Pray for your leader.
“The person concerned, God showed me, but I’m praying to see whether this can be changed. Pray for your leader. The head of a nation. I’m seeing a sudden death, this is as a result of sickness.”
“Quote me. The Lord showed me the country, the person is within Africa, so pray. This is not even in West Africa.”
After TB Joshua’s prophecy has come to pass, focus turns to Zimbabwe, where Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai, who has visited the Scoan headquarters in search of spiritual guidance, has also claimed that God plans leadership changes in Zimbabwe.

My dear friends most of u who are commenting never even take time to watch this great man of God. I can only urge you to tune in every sunday morning to emannuel TV or our very own Mobi Tv which broadcasts the live service so that you can hear fo yourself. When the late FTJ visited the SCOAN people were spreadin wrong information about his visit there and what TB Joshua Told him. Rumours went round that he had told him to return Regina back to his husband but all these are lies because the man of God talked about this on SUnday and what he told FTJ exactly . He told him to pray coz his end was near and there was nothing he could do about it. He also went on to say that teh first time FTJ visited SCOAN for counsellling on his third term bid he advised not to go ahead and that the man he was going to choose as his predecessor would die in office.
His prophesy on Bingu Wamutharika is a true prohesy so what pipo are sabailaing. May God Deliver u all.

John 14:12 ”Most assuredly I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to the father.
Follow the prophet well wach him n study his teachings nprophecies, pipo always praise him he neva praises him self, he always reveres all glory to god. a Prophet only speaks what the Spirit of God lays him to speak.
IT is betta to see the man do his works n see the fruits fo yo self ratha than hearsay.

fine, you have all sold your ideas. can we now declare that if TB Joshua is a real prophet, then all those who claim he is not receive instant punishment ( Death) from God. And if He is not, can God kill him and all his followers? choose and by this i really mean it as a servant of the most high God.

Musenge,
It is such shallow and docile and placid beliefs from some christians that irk me. Why should this man of God just specialise in prophesying deaths, is that the good news the Lord Jesus Christ was preaching, is that preaching freedom to the oppressed, peace to the troubled at heart and comfort to the sick??
As for casting out demans and healing sessions, be informed that it was not Jesus full time ministry. He worked for three and a half years, he had power to resurrect the dead but he never went round resurrecting everyone who died, he just demonstrated his powers to give hope for his Kingdom. Otherwise it would have been futile, Lazarous and the other people he resurrected eventually died!
Your Prophet T.B. Joshua is a quack working on self fulfilling prophesies, he may even be causing deaths of these Presidents to elevate his stature and compel other Presidents to consult him, do you know how much they pay???
What man of God, fortelling results of football matches and deaths??? excuse me!!!

Then, the God of TB Joshua should be very powerful, how come your true prophets are known and heard since the bible says, they will be true prophets, both false and true will be there. I feel pity for the man talking about Sabbath as a qualification to be a prophet. GOD is too big to be an SDA, not even a CHRISTIAN.

You people; what is strange about someone saying somewhere someone is going to die. NOTE that Once you are BORN JUST KNOW YOU ARE GOING TO DIE ONE DAY period.
If I went to watch a football game and while watching the game I say someone is winning this game without postulating who, should not qualify me to be a prophet. only shallow minded people should consider this as prophecy.
you Zambians should start relooking at what you take on as your conviction.

People do not be deceived, true early prophets did not in anyway conceal facts or names in their prophecies. Whether the prophecy was about the fall of a kingdom or king they said it openly and it surely came to pass. I think TB Joshua is in the deceiving industry. God can never be deceived.

What is more interesting is that all the TBJ haters they just fail to ignore him. Everytime they want to know what he has prophesysed. Ok then may someone tell us who a true prophet is, within Zambia or abroad, give us the name. At the moment i only know TBJ bcoz he has proved himself

From time e memorial Pipo refused to accept prophecies yet they happened and are still happening and even after reading History, the Bible, doubting Thomas es are still doubting, ONLY THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE. The man of God does speak the TRUTH! and TBJ always is praising God through Jesus Christ and not Himself(TBJ).
