Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Director General Rosewin Wandi says the country has sufficient laws to curb corruption in the public procurement system.
Mrs. Wandi says the challenge lies in enforcing the laws that provide guidelines in the manner in which the public procurement system should be done.
She notes that lack of proper enforcement of the procurement regulations and laws has led to corruption in the country%u2019s procurement system.
She adds that the ACC is however committed to ensuring that corruption is stamped out in the country%u2019s procurement system adding that the ACC will not allow any corruption cases go without being prosecuted.
Mrs. Wandi was speaking to QFM News in an interview.
Mrs. Wandi has also disclosed that the ACC will be working with the civil society organizations in carrying out sensitization works on behalf of the Commission on issues of corruption.

Zed Constitution has to be revised and i suggest that all well meaning Zambians should push for this, Why should it be a directive from for President for ACC to Act????
Another constitutional issue i would suggest is to hole politiocians accountable for their words (not ecluding actions)………..How many promises did PF make, Ukwa Himself, the Kabimbaz and the rest….Today they want to turn round their 90days promise and tell us that they meant a foundation for job creation…Pipo Plz, it hurts for the innocent first time voters who believed that PF would do something for them…Is there a way a sitting president can be impeched based on fake promises?

Madam Wandi,
We all know where corruption, abuse of office, money laundering and such like take place.
We all know how the proceeds are used and abused.
How many civil servants are living beyond their means? How many have houses, land, cars, kids in expensive schools and abroad?
The truth is that only those who are out of power will be hunted. When time comes, and the current crop are chucked out we will see them being investigated and hunted.
You will not stop corruption because it happens at levels too higj for you to even touch without losing your pension.
Nepotism is a crime, cronism is a crime too, tribalism is a crime as well. If a subortdinate gets a promotion because of offering sexual favours and no money passes, is that not corruption?
DEC is it not extortion to charge 1000 school leavers 250 pin for interviews that is non refundable? We all know that you have been appointed as a token to your gender and tribe.
If corruption mainly occurs in the executive branch of government and your appointing authority is the head of that branch, then such appointment is redundant ab initio. The rat appointing the cat to chase itself, siad cat which only is fed by the rat!

CORRUPTION IN ZAMBIA HAS BEEN MADE LEGIMATE BY THOSE WHOSE DRAFT OUR PROCUREMENT RULES AND REGULATIONS. THESE GUIDELINES ARE DESIGNED TO DELIBERATELY FAVOUR COMPANIES OWNED BY FOREIGNERS WHO IN TURN HAVE CAPACITY TO DELIVER BIGGER BRIBES TO CIVIL SERVANTS AND POLITICIANS. AWARDING OF BIDS TO LOWEST BIDDERS IS A DELIBERATE MOVE TO EMPOWER CHINESE PEOPLE IN OUR OWN COUNTRY – NO INDEGENOUS ZAMBIA CAN SUCCESSFULLY COMPETE AGAINST A CHINESE-OWNED BUSINESS ON PRICE. THE CICTIZEN’S EMPOWERMENT REGULATIONS DO NOT FROM PART OF THE BID DOCUMENT, AND THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS ANOMALY!!
