20 Staffs At State House Lose Jobs For Failing To Cook For Robiana

President Sata nicknamed ‘Ukwa’ among critics has led off 20 kitchen staff at statehouse and given them April 30th as deadline to vacate the house.

One of the affected, who has been at state house compound for over 25 years said on the fateful day there was a directive to cook food for Robiana who was admitted at UTH after a 20 kg tumor was operated on him. There was a directive from from state house be taken to UTH for Robiana.

The failure to do so has left more man 20 staff affected. They have accused Sata of making their work difficult, saying he goes in the kitchen to check, monitor and supervise them.

The staff have accused Sata of interfering in their work adding that unlike the past leaders, Sata works in to the kitchen with his hands on his back inspecting what is being prepared. “ Sata controls even the stock been bought.”
Some of the staff have opted to retire and get their pension especially those that  have worked for more than 30 years.
It is alleged that these jobs are been created for pf cadres.

Listen all of you. President ukwa is a former police officer. He only knows how to arrest and detain people in police cells. Being a president does not mean being a master 4 everything. Wen dismissing an employee, there are disciplinary procedures that are to be adhered. Ukwa supposed to follow procedures accordingly atleast frm his old man shamenda who was once a unionist. That’s poor management of employees!

The cooks were used to getting away unsupervised and stealing and do not like anyone pointing out their errors. They go around bad mouthing and scandalising anyone who corrects a wrong that has been going on for a very long time to the point that they took it as normal. Good for you Sata for showing lethargic supervisors how to do their work. Hope they were amoung those fired. Work culture and attitudes must change for development and progress. If a white person had taken this action there would be no talk or complaint due to inferioty complex but when a black person takes action, its criticism, badmouthing and gossip.

IF YOU WANT TO KNOW HOW MCS BEHAVES AT STATE HOUSE, JUST ASK THESE GUYS AND AM SURE YOU, LIKE ME WONT BE SURPRISED. A PRESIDENT WHO WILL GO INTO THE KITCHEN TO INSPECT WHAT IS BEING PREPARED WHEN HE EVEN HAS A WIFE LIVES MUCH TO BE DESIRED. I SEE HIS TYPE OF LEADERSHIP AS OPPORTUNISTIC BUT LIKE TONY BLAIR SAID AND I QUOTE”opportunism is not the same as leadership, TONY Blair 2006″. TRUE FOR OUR PRESIDENT.

By the way i meant to ask, arent there any employment tribunals in zambia? People should have a right to be heard. i f they have been unfairly dismissed, they should appeal to the employment tribunal so their case can be heard. Those are civil servants and i do believe they can be represented by a legal aid. MCS is not above the law, surely, I know he doesnt know this himself. Please help these poor peoplei I CAN ONLY IMAGINE HOW HELPLESS THEY FEEL AT THE MOMENT

So long for the election promises. Only the clever ones picked up that most, if not all the promises were lies. Pity some people are trying to water down our presidents behavior. Very sad indeed. PF caders have now turned to be law enforcing agents. It is a country out of control.

    Case Assessment :
Complaints: 1. There was an order that was not carried out.
    2. Sata interferes in our work. By inspection.
3.Sata supervises procurement, supply & usage of goods & services with his hands at the back.
    4. Some of them ‘opted’ to retire.
    5. 25 to over 30 yrs in service!
Conclusion : Not all were fired coz of failing to cook.
    Not all were fired.
Do you remember when Levy denied knowledge of state house consuming tones of liquor in 1 evening? These workers were around.
Ba boss baTomba bull, be analytical. Uyu complainant just exposes the closure of the lapses he/she has enjoyed for over 30 yrs.
Extend such monitoring to all ministries.

Cooks, bodygurd and persnal drivers just like snr military personel(security) are very sesitive and highly displind staff. therefore a doubt in their loyalty to authority attracts action like the one taken by HEMCS. such chaps can easly poison you and sms TB joshue ati sivintu kuno.

BJ is spot on. Sensitive departments need reshurfles just like the current leader won’t inherit Rupiah’s underwear. Cooks, can u stop this diarrhoea of complaining about self inflicted wounds. They say “He who swallows the Udara fruit must first consider the size of his Anus and as u make the bed, so U must lie on it”. They got what they desireved. How do you deny a poor patient a meal when the food is not from your mother’s pocket. Sata is the boss and fully in charge, this is a good lesson to other good for nothing, lazzy and incopetent civil servant. Mwikala patalala mwine apatalalika. Tu kuki imwe fyonse kulyamo? That’s Y I worked hard at sku to avoid the prospects of being a cook

Leave ba sata alone. It is the principle of not following orders – that is the issue. besides, the kitchen staff have been in there too long – as they say, when a rat stays too long in the house, it even gains the confidence to change Tv channels. Those chefs and kitchen staff need to leave jobs for the youth. They should just get their retirement packages and leave it to modern chefs trained at evelyn hone to work in state house kitchens.

Mwajaila kuba!!! Working for 30 year at statehouse? It is time to leave! Give room for other. If you go to some Government department you wonder why they get paid. These government workers find it difficult when they are supervised. Let them go. Let the new crop take up positions. We need change in many aspects.
