MMD Race Between Nevers And Mutati – Simutanyi
Politic Analyst Neo Simutanyi says the race for the Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) presidency is between former Zambian envoy to Canada Nevers Mumba and former cabinet minster Felix Mutati.In an interview with Qfm News in Lusaka today, Dr. Simutanyi observes that the two candidates seem to have the attributes that the general MMD membership is looking for.
He states that while all aspiring candidates have necessary qualifications to lead the party, the MMD needs a fearless and charismatic leader who is capable of providing checks and balances to the ruling Patriotic Front.
The political analyst adds that the former ruling party should also elect a leader who appeals to all Zambians across the country and can easily be sold to the electorate.
And Dr. Simutanyi has charged that the appointment of a tribunal by President Michael Sata to probe the alleged professional misconduct by the three suspended justices is within his constitutional powers.
He says it is only through the tribunal that the three Judges can clear their names of the allegations leveled against them.
Dr. Simutanyi has also explained that it is still possible to apply for judicial review in the matter if the outcome of the tribunal is not accepted by either party.

Nevers Mumba failed to rule his on party but how possible is it for him to rule dis party (M M D).SHAM…………………….!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Stop insulting bloggers,bt jst debate constructively
on the issues based on the agenda I wish them all the best. In any election one has to a winner and others losers,now we do see the losers after the elections? Forming their parties to oppose their mother party MMD? In a democratic country such move must not be criticised. As for winner the onus will be always him, he must ensure the party goes the right direction,dnt give chance people with corruption allegations because this party need serious rescistation.

Its interesting to note that the presidency for mmd is between Nevers and Mutati.Nervers will be a good pick to offer credible opposition to michael,zambia needs post independence politicians who are visionary minded,we are sick and tired of “old stone” age politicians who have run zd since its birth.

There is a lot of talk about MMD leadership and this is health. Let the party be led by a vibrant and young generation. We are tired of “ancestor’s leadership” in Zambia.
Meanwhile hear this. A well known Minister in the PF Governement has kept his wife and children in Chililabombwe in a servant’s quarter for more than 6 months. This is not on.
