Forcing Chief Justice To Resign Has Serious Implications – Dr. Mumba

MMD presidential aspirant Nevers Mumba says forcing the Chief Justice to step-down will result in serious implications for the country%u2019s democratic system.

Dr Mumba has also hoped that the calls for the Chief Justice to step-down are not politically motivated.
He since stated that those who want the Chief Justice to go should wait for the judicial reforms to take place.

Dr Mumba says the Government should first embark on judicial reforms, before the issue of whether the Chief Justice should continue or not can be addressed.

There have been increasing calls from some stakeholders for Chief Justice Ernest Sakala to step-down as the first step towards judicial reforms.

Attention Zambian Citizens.
I am concerned.
How come K2.1B attracts 2 years sentence.
Is this the sentence for the rich? Less Years for crimes.
Two months ago a poor Zambian man was sentenced to three years
for stealing K6,000 if not mistaken. Sentence for the poor.
Stealing a chicken in Zambia can even earn one 2 years Prison sentence
Is this justice? Is the justice system fair in Zambia.
Why Countrymen? Why should we allow this to happen?
Is this the standard of our Justice System in Zambia.
Zambia needs urgent Judicial Reforms.
We need them now. We demand for them now.

Let’s see a real petition with everyones name, occupation, eductaion, phone number, email address and nrc number. We will then countercheck this “over whelming” calls validity.

I say that it is grz orchestrated crap. Demo today with same school kids that were cadres yesterday, union officials the day before and tomorrow will be zamtel and zecso meter readers.

Now it is clear why opposition are going to embassies. Ambassadors can see what I.diot zambians fail too see. You are being cheated right before your own eyes.

I have not heard 10 cases of this “rampant corruption” exaples being stated. Someone tell me of a few cases. Judicial workers tell us of the cases, speak you paid assasins.

I fail to understand this desgraced former man-of-God,whenever he opens his mouth he utters utter nonsense.Politics or not the Chief Justice has to go.There is no malice in what Zambians want.The simple reason is that because of Justice Sakala and offcourse other factors,the public have lost confiddence in the whole judicial processes.Does Nevers Mumba never see the questionable aquittals we have witnessed.
Let Nevers Mumba not just rant anyhow for political expedicience and self rightiousness.
