By Kasabo S. Kalussa
The economy was performing and the kwacha was buoyant. People were generally happy but still Micheal stood in the political dock as the accused.
Sweeping to power on a pro-poor platform the PF faces detractors on all fronts. The opponent is all out to get political blood and they are many.
Whilst President Michael Sata and the Patriotic Front are sanitizing the nation of the 101 demons left by the previous administration, there are people who inherently do not seem to have the interests of the general citizenry at heart.
They have vowed to remain in the opposition for as long as it will take. That nevertheless is not a problem, after all Zambia is a viable democracy and opposition politics are what are espoused as part of its values.
It is not surprising too that they have remained on the other side of the fence consistently. Groupings of a similar make have sprung up in the past but have later died a natural but often painful death.
However, the existence of today’s opposition groupings and their leaders is not even a factor.
But the methods and tools that they have implored are what is threatening to Zambia’s stability.
In their relentless struggle for political power, they have highly developed charged souls and have subsequently become bitter.
Their common hatred for all things PF is not only political but has developed into a personal vendetta!
They are ready to have State House to themselves whatever it takes, be it using their blind regional followers as tools in unnecessary violent acts.
And yet others are even ready to show up in borrowed posh cars before the gates of the residence of the Head of State even without a prior appointment. For some, it was not even easy for their flock to have a glimpse of them when they were men of the pulpit.
Among the most notable forces they have at their disposal is a toothless dog that roams the cyber world churning out unmitigated and false propaganda. It claims to keep a watch on the country but what it does is stir anarchy and fear
The PF and its leaders have unfortunately been subjected to a relentless campaign of ridicule and hate. But the whole country is watching.
The nation is ready and it has opened its eyes to see such hate. Even those that never had chemistry with the mass appeal of the PF are now convinced this is the people’s party that would absorb all regardless of ethnicity colour or creed.
What the Patriotic Front encapsulates is the desire to see a united Zambia where even the most disadvantaged would rise up through the file and tumble of life to be successful.
In all this, a dig in the archives is a powerful lesson. Our politics have consistently rejected party’s anchored on hate and division and they have embraced those whose values make emphasis on a prosperous Zambia.
It is these values that have seen the PF through the thick of it and have secured a place among the minds of many in face of 2016.

The people who really made PF won are not the original hardcore PF supporters who voted for Sata in 2008.Its the not so hardcore who jst wanted RB to go.These are the voters PF is likely to lose in 2016 coz they r not likely to make any significant change in 4 years as they seem to have no direction 11 months afta coming to power.

yeah the question is to lose to who? See if PF status quo remains the same 4 years from now, we likely to see much voter apathy. But of course PF intends to change the game plan. May restore retaintion allowance, as they said they – fund defence to create some jobs etc, so eventualy people shall appreciate, and still vote for them, because MMD really is a finished party even if they were to go in pact with UPND, which may even make te later unpopular, remember the tag of late FTJ gave MMD?i can tell by then a number of MMD officials shall have been convicted. GOD BLESS ZAMBIA

For democracy to flourish, any government should have opposition, It is amazing how some people should think that only those that support PF are more Zambian than others. Please let us learn to tolarate each other and working in harmony. Why should the ruling party worry about the opposition if they are delivering what can be seen,by everyone? These propagandist articles wont help to unite Zambia but only serve to embitter those refered to.

Iwe chi Kasabo nachi Usenga, you are the fools who wipe your buttholes before ukunya. Stop preaching your utopian dreams to US. The party that proves its meto to the nation by 2016 will win. UPND or MMD have to prove that thay are better than PF. 11 months down the line, they have not. PF will have to prove that they have made life better for Zambia. 4yrs1month to go, they are still positioning themselves. Its the Zambian WOE!

1 year is almost gone:
PF, you have not yet established your gait. Confidence is wavering my dears.
UPND, you have not sold yourselves as a better alterative but continued to parade your cry-baby attitude.
MMD, you seem more lost than ever before, past president interferance.
THE REST: Your infancy stretches to the heavens.
Wake up all of you! We have a nation to build & develop

Dreaming is not a crime! But the sooner one wakes up from slumber and realise that 90% of all dreams do not come to pass after all, the better for them! Politics is a strange science! Anything can happen by and before 2016! I am happy I trust in God who is everlasting and all-powerful!

Sata and bembas he has appointed are not tribalists, its only that Sata has no capacity to rule! He only has capacity to be president of which its testimony that democracy does not always produce positive results!

To omagine that PF will win the elections in 2016 is wishful thinking. This article is from a PF propagandist and he writes in such a manner as he would wish things would turn out to be. The truth is there for all to see. There is no way this confused government with its confused cabinet can win a second term. People voted for change but are now regreting that the change has turned out to be a huge liability. The PF have lamentably failed to run government and thats why there is so much propaganda going on to try and manage the damage the PF has caused to the Zambian economy.

Iyoo kwena! Is the writer serious? He writes just to excite a few Bemba haters and incite the over zealous PF cadres. This article is hollow and painfully shallow. Read an analysis by Sishuwa Sishuwa about the current position of the PF. It is simply too early. If in 3 years, they will fail to reduce unemployment through infrastructure development then, they are not worthy our collective votes. PF socialist policies are not easy to implement. I work in an OMC and today I received a query whether pump attendants salaries must be increased to match the minimum wage at current fuel margins? Socialism can trully cramp economic emancipation if sectoral approach to the economic policy implementation is not used. Who will bare the brunt of increased salaries? Is it the enterprenuer or the consumer? In certain industries costs are easily passed to the consumer (bakeries, but not in the petroleum industry where margins are controlled by the government. PF needs to priortise its development policies starting with reduced unemployment rates and consult widely on how to approach this with minimum damage on our budget deficit and inflation.
The article above did not inspire me at all!
