Dual Citizenship-Dual Education

(…Global challenges towards Effective Education in Zambia.)
The dual citizenship gives people practical advantages such as more employment opportunities, education, easy travel and entitlement to the social programs of both countries. Though possessing two nationalities has some disadvantages  too,  this is not my interest in this article.

We can’t talk about the dual citizenship and ignore the most important issues surrounding the idea. Education is one of the issue. You will agree with me that over 40% of Zambians who are in foreign countries left the country with the motive of studies, some are successfully in universities and others are not due to an unacceptable Certificate, Diploma, etc in a particular country.
When the draft for Zambian Constitution reached the hands of the public, some issues where liked and accepted by most Zambians just in the first session and others were debatable. The dual citizenship was one of the ideas which were welcomed by many Zambians who are in foreign countries and many other local business men and women.
But we cannot talk about dual citizenship without talking about the key to every success which is Education. Dual Citizenship-Dual Education, but is our Certificates, Diplomas or Degrees, acceptable in foreign countries?
In dual citizenship it’s not only the political and social relationship between Zambia and any other adopted country but academic relationship as well, Therefore, there is need for the government of Zambia to strengthen the academic grades to meet the standard in many countries, due to the fact that most of our family members, friends and fellow citizens who go out for studies, their Certificates, Diplomas etc  are not easily accepted in most universities.
Today in many countries the Zambian Embassy Offices face this challenge from many students who are denied in schools and the Embassy has no idea of how to help these students or job seekers. Hence, there is high demand for Examination Council of Zambia (ECZ) to look into this issue as well, so that our people  don’t get desperate out there. They say; the world has become a village due to Technology studies and Zambia is part of this global system.
Hence, there is need to secure our Zambian people before they leave our country and we can only do this by strengthening the Education sector (grades) it is noted that some Zambians with good papers  are denied to enter in universities to upgrade their papers and when these people can’t find school or work, they end up finding lawless businesses for survive. Now can it be that our academic “Grade” is that low to meet the International Education Standards?
Law and rules surrounding the dual citizen in Zambia should not forget to consider this important issue because education is the key to every success in every state. Education is the best security for our brothers and sisters out there. So lets put this into consideration before dual citizenship becomes an issue.

When i renounced my Zambian citizenship my foreign spouse convinced me to adopt citizenship of the country i got married in .. only to find out later that i was in a country of racist Nazi skinheads who kill black people for fun. I’m scared for my life and just want to come back to my motherland and country of birth. At the time of renouncing the Zambian status i was not advised properly by the Zambian embassy in that country. Now am called nigger, monkey go back home. Black people here are hunted like animals. As black people we need to protect our own kind, we are an endangered spieces in racist europe!

Dual citizenship is not different with bilateral relationship; the government has with other european any other countries in the world. So i see no reason why this important thing cannot be implimented by a peaceful nation like Zambia. Mr Micheal Sata’s example of one person cannot be a catholic and at the sametime to be Anglican is incorrect. Logically speaking you should not say people should come back to Zambia without thinking on the children they have while abroad something that regards the children who are born outside can be denied a citizenship from their fathers origine Zambia. Please free men we stand under the flag of our right think about this words you sing always without reflecting much how it means. Improving the eduction sector according to me this sector has many ammendments to make that are touchable the way education is setup should correspond with other international grades to move with time modern time not colonial time i rest my case

Mr. Mwango, you are exposing your ignorance here about the dual citizenship clause. It has nothing to do with people immgration from Zed To other countries with certificates or diplomas. This is rather the migration of Zambians who may have left Zambia and acquired other citizenship in the countries they reside and want to reclaim back their original birth place so they can contribute to mother Zambia after being educated by mostly the developed western countries. But you are worried about a certificate you acquired from kitwe or kabwe trades institute? No wonder this issue has been misunderstood. we in the diaspora feel bad that we cannot inject back or contribute wholeheartedly back to a country that raised us up.we were born and raised in Zambia before we came over here got educated, highly for that matter, so we think we can marshal resources back to were we came from and help st.upid people like you get employed, if for example we open a business out there.i wonder who even gives space here for mediocre articles .

let us not encourage this dual citizenship. it is either you are Zambian or not. are we not proud of being Zambians? what is wrong with us? even if you get citizenship for another country, they will still treat you as a “second class” citizen. the national service that is being re-introduced should teach our children on national pride and patriotism.

What has zambia to offer over duo education and citizenship.in america if you are offered a green card and later a citizenship.if you try to leave that country and comeback, they will still call you an immigrant even when you attended your entire education their.both high school and elementary education.racism and discrimination is go’damn hellshit around ,you know wa am sayin’ if suppose your wife gives birth here in chicago u wil be issued a birth citificate but grow up and apply 4 a passport,it will be damned and you shall never be employed in govt and states deptments that is you with their education papers and experience.u check that out! so mr mwango this transaction is not vital.
