Zambia National Union of Teachers -ZNUT- has supported government’s decision to ban private tuitions in Government schools.
ZNUT-General Secretary Newman Bubala says this will curb a lot of indiscipline and misconduct that takes place during tuitions.
Mr. Bubala says there is usually no serious supervision during private tuitions and some parents cannot afford to pay.
Meanwhile, Mr. Bubala has called for the revision of the school syllabus in Government schools in line with expectations during examinations.
He says this will enable pupils not to panic ahead of the examinations.
Mr. Bubala said this in an interview with ZNBC news in Lusaka.
The Ministry of General Education last Friday banned private tuitions in all Government Schools.
