HH Vows To Fight On, ‘I Am Game For 2016′
UNITED Party for National development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema says continuity in aspiring to lead the Zambian people will be determined at a forthcoming intra-party convention.
Quizzed as to whether or not he would like to stay on as leader Hichilema laughed of the probing suggestion by Muvi Television Costa Mwansa arguing that the decision was a collecting UPND baby.
Appearing on The Assignment October 16th 2011 programme, Hichilema explained that as a firm democratic he would prefer a broad based consideration ahead of the 2016 presidential elections.
“I will not impose myself on the people but will let the UPNDC structures determined who leads the party towards the 2011 presidential elections. I have always been ready to served mother Zambia and did not join politics for my individual benefit. As a politician, I have always pledged to serving the Zambian people. My continuity in politics will be determined by the entire electoral structures of UPND,” Hakainde Hichilema argued.
Since stepping into late Anderson Kambela Mazoka‘s shoes, HH has taken intra-party political control of the UPND.

Not every one that uses bemba on this blog is bemba. People that have grown up on the copperbelt, no matter what tribes they are,speak and write very good bemba. They even do it better than some bemba people that grew up in other provinces other than the copperbelt, northern, luapula and parts of central province. It is therefore wrong to assume that whoever posts on this blog, using bemba,is bemba by tribe. This is the very reason why i always say that the best president for this country is someone who grew up on the copperbelt no matter what tribe he is.The reason is simple; tribalism has no room on the copperbelt.

If l were HH l would have sided with PF as we start this five year long journey so that people start seeing UPND as a progessive party, and even if we start critising PF people will see our alternative views and consider it later in 2016 as an alternative. Head on collision is self destructive. HH is starting to isolate himself and UPND too early in the game. On a marathon you dont start off straight running full throttle ahead of the mob bec ause you will exhaust yourself earlier. Please HH align yourself with those who can empower you. Bitterness is only in your heart alone and it might just burn you out.
In Zambian history, parties reach their us-by date and die a silent death. We know many parties which have passed on and we don’t want to waste time counting them all. But to mention but a few; UNIP died the day KK accepted defeat, MMD is dead and will never be trusted with the instrument of power ever gain. Those who will choose to remain will eventually get tired ad disappear. UPND seems to be rushing for its use-by date. It might be dead already. Soon it will start stinking and later be buried at the political graveyard. As for HH, he is likely to remain so disillusioned with where everyone will be. Lonely in midst of multitude.
To be progressive we have to change with time. HH is not changing, neither is he learning from history. MMD is like a widow, and culturally you have to wait for cleansing to take place before you can think of courting her. HH upon learning that MMD is widowed he is their first person to start proposing even before MMD has finished mourning. HH/UPND have you no respect to cultural norms? Let MMD mourn in peace and then maybe later you can try your proposal, but not just now while MMD is still wearing the black band around the head.

It is very true,that people that grown up or lived on the copperbelt are not tribal because it is the most diverse province in the country.The copperbelt has produced good leaders in all spheres of life in this country.Some of the blogers have clearly shown us that have lived in one province. kindly help us by not showing narrow minded you are. I have gone under this pseudonym, just to conceal my name. HH, you and I had a heart to heart talk on the pact and I told you of the opportunity you had, had you remained on board. You refused and insisted you could only do this if you were pact leader. One chief also told you the same, mwana kwesu. I even went further to advise you that your political future may end if PF wins without you! You ignored. Am telling you again, accommodate everybody even PF and dont just condemn everything they do. Delink yourself from this growing MMD-UPND pact your members will not allow you!
