3 CATHOLIC Bishops In, Pentecoastal Pastors SHUNNED ‘They Chewed Tax Payers And Were Part Of Defunct NCC’

THE inclusion of three catholic bishops and non inclusion of Pentecoastal pastors in the committee of experts in the constitution making process has raised alot of debate and dust amongst Zambians.
However, some concerened Zambians have justified the shunning of pentecoastal bishops saying they (Pentecoastal bishops) already disappointed Zambians and chewed tax payers money in the defunct National Constitution Conference.
Henry Zimba a concerned Zambian has said “So many of you, including some Pentecoastal bishops, have complained about the inclusion of, not one but three, Catholic Bishops on the Committee of experts to spearhead the constitution making process. You are asking why ‘other denominations’ are not included. The other denominations were part of the defunct NCC and are
represented by those who were part of the conference. What other new ideas or
Contributions are they going to bring on board that they didn’t in the NCC? For all I care they failed us in the NCC with some of them heavily and shamelessly siding with the MMD. I think it’s time to grow our
reasoning and analysis of national issues.”
Mr Zimba further said ; “They assisted in plundering the financial resources of this country through their participation in the NCC. What did some of them achieve by siding with the then government and behaving like carders? They shouldn’t even complain and point fingers at the president. We had president Chiluba and the so called Pentecostal bishops were darlings of state house-what did they achieve with their association with the president? We ended up having Third Term prophelies. The same happened with late President Mwanawasa and RB we ended up with bishops who sounded more of MMD cadres than spiritual leaders. Let them wrinkle however they want because their time of mediocrity is over”.

The Pentecostal bishops who participated in the NCC should be judged as individuals and NOT as ECZ. ECZ has done a lot for our nation. Mr. President do NOT allow the wicked draw a wedge between Catholics and Evangelicals. We have always co-existed for the mutual good of propagating the gospel of our Lord, Jesus Christ. LET ECZ be part of constitution making process; but exclude the bishops that participated in the NCC.

Ba Hams; kindly do not judge yet, let the results show. Atleast the NCC can be judged now, not this committee as at now. Lets not have a mentality of those churches that judge the Catholic church to be unchristian, only God knows how futile the appointments are as at today. GOD bless you and Zambia. PEACE!

Ba Viva PF, While it true that we do not judge prematurely, it is also prudent that we do not repeat the mistakes of the past. The start gives a picture of what is to come. I strongly appeal to the President to be above board and forget what happenned and instead do what should have been done then! The committee must be INCLUSIVE and not EXCLUSIVE, otherwise the constitution will be termed a CATHOLIC one, and then to begin the process later! We cannot afford that as a nation!

what we need is simply a small knowledgeable intellectuals to just synchronize the already researched ideas into a constitution, not a group of balanced money mongers to fatten their pockets again. plz pipo lets reason properly! what if the president only appointed 3 pipo, how was it going to be balanced? tel thoz pasters jst to lead their churches thats their job period!

Other Christian bodies already contributed via the NCC. Catholics did not. Let them also contribute now. I see nothing wrong.
I do not trust these Pentes. They form fronts (bodies) whenever they hear there is money coming so that they can benefit. I remember how the so called indepent churchs something was formed. It was formed to counter the three mother bodies who were at that time not in agreement with the gvt of Chiluba. They spoke for Chiluba in exchange for BROWN Envelops.

Catholic bishops are highly educated and came through a well discipled upbringing.
Many of the pentecostal pastors have no expertise or skill in any field. they are lost to relaity and only depend on revalations and so called prohetic dreams.they failed to read the mood of the people in the run up to elections, failed to counsel MMD of corruption and they advocated for the banning of innocent Universal church.
Now is the time to finish this hypocrisy because in the old days whenthere was only catholic, peoiple feared God and respected the church. not so today. we pray that the catholic bishops and madam suzanne mutale will not disspoint the people on the 50 plus 1, presidential running mate and the barotseland agreement. pentcostal pastors are too fragile to stand for thse issues

The consititutional making process must be seen to be fully participative of all sections of the society then it is a negative indicator. The moment you have a segment of the society, in this case the Pentecostal Churches ( so called charismatic churches) feeling marginalised then it is a problem. Let the President give them a hearing. Of course the love of money by most of them distracts their objectivity and President Sata must fall prey to their tactics of changing the tune now that he is in office in exchange for brown envelops. Please keep them at BAY. Remember how they prayed against you becoming president in preference for RB. What has changed now ?

Why worry about legalising homosexuality? The bible says each person will be judged alone on the day of judgement. Why make laws which punish people on seexual orientation?
The best approach will be to remove laws which are targeted at gay people because these people will be answerable to God alone not fellow men.
It is a bigger sin to play God.

Sata is a think tank wait and see. He is going to give us a constitution that all our prevous presidents failed.

The three church mother bodies which boycotted the infamous NCC are the Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia Council of Churches in Zambia and the Zambia Episcopal Conference. EFZ is the umbrella body of evangelical and moderate genuine pentecostal churches, CCZ is the umbrella body of main stream protestant churches such as UCZ, Reformed Church in Zambia, Presbyteran Church, Baptist Church, Church of Christ, Church of God etc. ZEC represents the Catholic Church and it is not an umbrella body because there is only one Catholic Church and it is the largest unitary christian organisation in Zambia and in the world. Organisations prophesying christianity but refuse to subsribe to any of the three church mother bodies are Jehovah’Witnesses, Seventh Day Adventists and a mirriad of individual centered churches. A new phenomenon of independent churches in Zambia has come to symbolise opportunistic pentecostal churches and these are the ones which took part in NCC. The SDA was also represented there. So when calling for the representation of pentecostal churches on the constituted constitution committee, we should have in mind those pentecostals which belong to EFZ. I support the calls to have one representative from EFZ. To accommodate this one, the number of Catholic bishops should be reduced from three to two. But fellows like Joshua Banda and Masupa should not utter anything in this constitution process. They belong to opportunistic churches.

    VIVA PF and TKC,

You are MOROON CHIMPANZEES with The Roman Catholi Member your so called Zimba who have short memories with your EVIL Roman Catholic Bishops who have no morals to support Sata’s unprincipled appointments of corrupt people like Chungu and Miti!

How can you forget that through the OASIS Forum Pentecostal Pastors and Bishops stood up to Chiluba’s Third Term?

LAZ Chairman Mwenya is a Pentecostal Christian, Bishop Mambo, Bishop Mususu is Evangelical e.t.c. All these stood up to evil MMD schemes.

So what reason do you have to support the EVIL Roman Catholic Church Bishop persecuting of Protestant Christians through Sata’s ill conceived plan to persecute his political enemies through these.

This will definitely backfire on the Roman Catholic Church involvement with Sata’s government, just as it happened in Rwanda’s Genocide and the way the Evil Roman Catholic Church Priests supported Hitler and remained quiet during the persecution of Jews in German by Hitler

    SNIPPER & PRAGMATIST 2011,

You blind EVIL Roman Catholic false Christians! You make me feel like vomiting right now because of your blindness of not seeing the DANGER in these actions of EXCLUDING Pentecostal/Evangelical/Protestant Christians out of this Constitution making.

What will happen is that counter reaction to this: is that Pentecostals with all the Evangelicals will start praying to vote for their own Born Again President like Godfrey Miyanda or Nevers Mumba as they feel that they being persecuted in their own country Zambia.

The Evil Roman Catholic Church Bishops are used to fomenting inter faith FIGHTING as they have done in Northern Ireland. Zambian Christians do not want fighting over issues that can be avoided like this simple issue.

No intimidation will ever suppress dissent views so Sata and his EVIL Roman Catholic Bishops are bound to fail and will face the same fate that former President Banda and his MMD faced during the September 2011 elections.

    Shame on you ignorant dwellers!

President Michael Sata should not sow a seed of hatred among Zambian as already noticed on these comments. We have hope in him that he will unite Zambia, tribally and religiously. Does he want Pentecostals to turn to Dr Mumba Nevers if he is made to lead MMD or Godfrey Miyanda and campaign for them openly? Will PF be comfortable with that? I advisw Sata not to blindly follow the Roman Catholic ill advices. The EFZ as an organisation did not support NCC. Those who attended did so as individuals just as some individual Catholic Bishops actively participated in partisan politics and used ungodly language. Yet we do not generalise Catholic Church. Why are they generalising EFZ. Fighting the Pentecostals unfairly will lead to your own failure because the GOD we worship answers by FIRE.
