BREAKING News: BANK of ZAMBIA (BoZ) GOVERNOR Appointed

Dr. Michael Gondwe

GOVERNMENT through the central Bank has appointed Dr Michael Gondwe from the PTA Bank as the new Bamk of Zambia Governor, Tumfweko can exclusively reveal.
Dr Gondwe takes over from Dr Caleb Fundanga who was axed three months ago by the Patriotic Front (PF) government.
The appointment of Dr Gondwe as governor comes a month after Ng’andu Magande declined the same appointment.

    So he is from the Muchinga Clan!! Manje, it looks like this man is a legal resource, from his degrees in Law. No Economics and a 6 months diploma in banking. Not a very good Resume…..

    Dr.Gondwe a holds Bachelor of Law Degrees from the University of Zambia and the University of Virginia as well as a Masters in Business Administration.

    He is an alumnus of the Advanced Management Programme of the University of Oxford.

    He is the president or the equivalent of chief executive officer of the Eastern and Southern African Trade and Development Bank.

    The bank has its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya.

    The PTA bank still uses its original name, PTA Bank, created by the initial Preferential Trade Area (PTA) agreement.

    The PTA agreement later graduated to Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) regional trade agreement.

    Congrats Doc! Thats one of the few high positions in the nation. But to my fellow Zambians; What is real track record of performance where he has been? That’s the point we shouldnt forget!!! Papers he has, what about actual performance?

    The cobra is too quick to sack out people from positions. But it takes him sometime before finding credible people to fill vacancies. what is happening with ZAWA Board?

    Ok we’ve had Caleb Fundanga for years but at least nothing bad was reported over him the signature was smoothly fitting on the kwacha lets see what our new Governor will do for the people of zambia….
