MAN Dies AFTER CONSUMING 10 Sachets Of TUJILIJILI

A 24-year-old man of Chief Nkole’s area has died after consuming ten sachets of beer commonly known as “TUJILIJILI”.
Chief Nkole of the Swaka people in Kapiri Mposhi confirmed the death when Central Province Minister, Philip Kosamu called on him.
The Chief says the man died on the spot after consuming the sachets in a beer drinking competition.
Chief Nkole has since appealed to government to ban the production and sale of tujilijili in the country.
The traditional Leader also lamented that most youths preferred consuming alcohol at the expense of doing productive activities to uplift their lives.
The Chief also blamed the increase in deaths, violence and HIV/AIDS infections in his area especially amongst youths to the increase in alcohol consumption.

Utujilijili tatwabipa utwine. Infact they are not new. Their real name is “tota packs”. The government should not ban their manufacture or sale. What they must ban is indiscriminate distribution. Only those with liquor licences should be allowed to sell tujilijili and in the right places. Sorry for the loss life in Chief Nkole’s area.
