PASTOR Against The REMOVAL Of RB’s IMMUNITY “PF Calls To REMOVE RB’s Immunity Are UNFOUNDED As They Are NOT Backed By FACTS”

AS calls for the removal of former President Rupiah Banda’s immunity heightens, a clergyman says there is need to counsel those backing such calls.
Speaking in an interview with Qfm, Zambia Rainbow Coalition board member Reverend Rueben Sambo explains that calls to remove Mr. Banda’s immunity are unfounded as they are not backed by facts.
Reverend Sambo says lifting the former President’s immunity will present a bad precedent on which future President will base their corruption fights.
He says former President Banda’s immunity must only be removed if serious facts to the allegations being leveled against him are presented and agreed upon by the majority Zambians.
Reverend Sambo adds that failure by the PF government to substantiate the alleged corrupt practices involving Mr. Banda on which his immunity should be removed will mean that the move is vindictive.

Sambo is a thief who partook in the looting of our hard earned resources, hence his feeble defence of RB. Chiluba had his immunity removed. What is special about Banda?

this country is where it is today because of these fake so called men of God. what we are saying is “if RB stole anything or amassed wealth in a corrupt manner let him be probed without any barriers” we are not saying arrest RB. In any case whats wrong with arresting a thief anyway? we want every person entrusted with high office, to execute the functions of that office with integrity and consideration owing to the number of people dying because of poverty. why should someone not feel pity for the poor, widows, unemployed youths etc. Ndimwe to mapastors who misled RB. so iwe KA reverend KABOZA be careful. You just pray that we don’t arrest you for corrupting the morals of your flock by making them think that when you are in high office then you can do anything you want. PLIZ WAKE-UP and Understand that you are dealing with people of integrity and accountable to the citizens who voted for them. your church needs to be probed for corruption, maybe the vehicle you have was corruptly acquired?

I think the issue of running to the public first before we have proven facts at hand should be condemed by all Zambians. The issue of rushing to the press has made it seem like our judiciary is corrupt.
I wish to advise our political leaders to let the law enforcement agencies carry out their duties without political and public pressure.
Let the government be complaints and the law enforcement agencies make announcements were an arrest has been made.

Fake Reverend – how can you defend a thief in the name of GOD!!! rev Sambo is exactly like RB – stealing poor ppl’s money to enrich himself. In fact Sambo is even worse that RB – he uses the name of GOD in his stealing activities!!!

Govt needs to seriously regulate these churches that have mushroomed pa zed – I do not see what impact they have had on our society. Extra marital affairs have increased, alcohol abuse on the rise; infidelity on the rise, prostitution on the rise, theft of public money is on the rise!!! let them tell us what moral impact they have had, otherwise, shut down these illegal businesses (who pay not tax whatsoever)

Ok so let’s say RB’s immunity is removed. So what? People you are so short sighted! Say he is tried in the courts of law.. Prosecutions that will just eat up tax-payer’s money coz at the end of it, nothing tangible will come out of it. The same happened with Chiluba and where did it get us? As far as I’m comcerned the judiciary in Zambia is full of rotten people and we are all just wasting our time and money. RB’s case will drag on for years, I will continue getting my fat salary and the kaponyas will continue being call-boys.. Our lives will basically be the same..

ZAMTEL issue may be a mistake but it was not corruption. With Mr Sata in government, Dr Chiluba did a lot of questionable deals over the mines. There has always been a lot of single sourcing going on and the latest is Apollo refurbishing State House.

If u are really a genuine Paster who never benefited from RB’s brown envelops, and know too well the ten commandments in the bible one of the ten says thou shalt not steal and you know the Zambian rules says every Zambian is innocent until proven guilt, what makes you un comfortable if RB’s immunity is removed by members of parliament, be a real man of God and stop misleading God’s children. Let those in power govern the country to people’s expectations. RB was getting a salary and allowances befitting a head of state not misusing government resources to the extent of even depriving the civil servants a living wage by bribing the unions representing workers so that he enjoys our wealth together with his family let the man bring back whatever he got corruptly.

@ SAINT you must be another good example of a dunder head. Are you using witch craft to confirm that Zamtel was a mistake and not corruption? And just to open your thick head, corruption is a mistake and sadly a punishable mistake.Get that into your thick head. Go and defile a kid on the street or bush and tell the police its not defilement but a mistake and see if they will let you go scot free. Please reason like a normal human being and not like someone from the mental asylum. Selling state asets is guided by govt in acordance with the law.
