Orlando Pirates midfielder Isaac Chansa says Zambia will not drop any further points in Group A at the Africa Cup of Nations and will be ready for Equatorial Guinea this weekend.
Chansa said that Zambia will add to the four points they have garnered on January 29 in their final group match against the co-hosts in Malabo.
“It is tough but we still believe in ourselves,” Chansa said after Zambia finished 2-2 with Libya in their penultimate Group A match on January 25.
“We still believe we will do better in that match but obviously we have a couple of days to prepare and we will prepare for it very well.”
Chansa had an outstanding game for Zambia against Libya despite the game being played on a waterlogged pitch at Estadio de Bata following a tropical storm.
Kick off was delayed for at least an hour as groundsmen fought to drain the pitch of water.
Zambia needs a draw or win this Sunday to join Equatorial Guinea in next Wednesday’s Africa Cup of Nations quarterfinals.
Co-hosts Equatorial Guinea have booked their quarterfinal place with a game to spare on six points, but will know after Sunday’s game against Zambia of their top two status.
Libya and Senegal, who also meet on Sunday in their final Group A match, have one and zero points respectively.

EG has never been a threat to Zambia, and now that they have achieved what they wanted we will enjoy our day! that is if we maintain the same squad except for letting Nkausu start and then chisamba comes into the mid pack ahead of Francis Kasonde, yet keep the fire power led by Mayuka, in nedd for substition arises then Sakuwaha and clifford should be considered. am particulary happy that we saw some endurance that we cried for after the Senegal match and it was evident when we came from behind twice.Go zambia Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Zambia 3-1 Equatorial Africa United (aka Guinea)….Their weakness is that full back Lawrence Doe (born in Liberial but naturalised to play for EG), has been suspended after getting red carded….
