PF Msanzala Campaign Rally FLOPS Because Of POOR Attendance

THE ruling Patriotic Front (PF) first campaign rally in Msanzala constituency which was scheduled to be held at Msanzala grounds on Wednesday afternoon failed to take off because of poor attendance.
The Msanzala by elections will be held on February 16 and three political parties are contesting the seat left vacant after independent MP colonel Joseph Lungu resigned to join the PF.
And voters in Msanzala constituency have said they will not vote for the PF candidate colonel Joseph Lungu because they could not trust him any more after he resigned as an independent MP to join the ruling party.
On Wednesday afternoon, only a handful of supporters turned up at the grounds forcing organisers to call off the campaign rally with announcements for a more organised rally to be held on Saturday.
A Msanzala resident Grace Mwale said a lot of voters in the constituency were disappointed and had lost faith in Colonel Lungu, because he disappointed them when he decided to resign as an independent MP without consulting the people who had voted for him during the 2011 September elections.
“It is not surprising that people have shunned the rally because they are not interested in voting for the MP who abandoned them after they worked hard to vote him to Parliament” she said.
Several Children went about with their business at the grounds as a handful of adults waited for PF officials to address them.
The PF hopes to reclaim the seat and are fielding Colonel Lungu while MMD is fielding 2011 September losing candidate Peter Daka. UNIP is also contesting the seat.

A lot of people who did not vote for pf thought the party will not do anything positive. They said the party will bring homosexuality, Sata will bring war etc. any normal thinking person after being mislead can resign, especially after seeing the ruling party is in the right direction. Viva PF Viva!

Msanzala! “That’s the way to go!” These politicians need to know that when they are elected service to the masses who elected them comes first.
The money being wasted to hold the by elections could have been used to foster development in the area.
The politicain should be made to remember that it is not about being PF, MMD, NAREP, UPND or independent, it what you can offer the Zambian people.
My fellow Zambians let us use our power at the voting booth to ensure these “greedy” politicians are taught a lesson!!!!!

Yes even if I am a pro PF On this one I think Joseph Lungu is not a serious guy and must never be entrusted with that responsibility again. We are saying government expenditure must be reduced and yet these are the guys who are making things not go that way! He was an independent and could have easily supported PF even being appointed as Minister! so why waste resources only for his selfish ego? lets not tolerate such nonsense otherwise MMD gain a plus on this silly mistake that we want to make! please our leaders save us the money and let it be used for other very important ventures that will take this nation forward.
