‘FODEP Accounts In TERRIBLE Disarray, Financial IRREGULARITIES Have Been CONCEALED’

Embattled Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) President Alex Ng’oma says the financial accounts at the organization are in terrible disarray.

Speaking to journalists at Lusaka’s Ndeke hotel this morning, Dr. Ng’oma who was flanked by FODEP national secretary Nalukui Milapo disclosed that FODEP accounts have not been audited since 2008.

Dr. Ng’oma explained that the failure by the previous executive to prepare financial statements was a deliberate move to conceal financial irregularities.

He has also charged that it is highly hypocritical for members of FODEP to condemn financial irregularities in government when they have failed to account for various funds.

Dr. Ng’oma states that in order to restore sanity at FODEP, he has put in place measures that will deter members from playing double standards and ensure that accountability is upheld.

And Dr. Ng’oma has castigated his information and Research officer MacDonald Chipenzi who is know to be the executive director for allegedly departing from the norms of the organization by issuing derogatory statements against the top FODEP leadership.

He emphasized that he and Mrs. Milapo are still FODEP president and national secretary respectively contrary to their alleged suspension by the FODEP national Executive Committee which he says was engineered by Mr. Chipenzi.

Dr. Ng’oma has further accused Mr. Chipenzi of creating a state of anarchy at FODEP and since dissociated the organization from the purported ill-conceived statement being issued by the information officer.

He reiterated that Mr. Chipenzi is not FODEP Executive Director stating that he has no management qualifications to occupy that position.
