KATONGO Named BEST PLAYER Of AFCON 2012

Cup-Winning Chipolopolo Skipper, Christopher Katongo, has been picked by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as the best player of the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

Tsunami’, as the Chipolopolo captain is known by the fans, inspired his Zambia to a first-ever Nations Cup triumph after losing the finals in 1974 and 1994.

Katongo succeeded Egypt skipper Ahmed Hassan, who was the MVP for the 2010 competition in Angola.

The China-based forward also scored three goals, but it was his Zambia teammate Emmanuel Mayuka, who also scored three goals, who was picked as the Goal King of the AFCON.

Both Katongo and Mayuka as well as goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene and central defender Stoppila Sunzu were picked by CAF in their Tournament XI, while the outstanding Rainford Kalaba made the bench.

Cote d Ivoire won the Fair Play Award.

But where is the Peresident? And what is Winter Kabimbas role at the show grounds? Why doesn’t he join the govt by getting an official govt position? Tomorrow when he is dragged to court for PF plunder he will be saying I was never in govt but there he is conducting himself as though he were prime minister. Please tell the president that his presence is required. How can gay scott who was with the team in Gabon be the one to receive the trophy again? Awe mwandi guys ba PF kaya muganiza bwanji mwe!

@alien. You are a sad statistic and a cheap imitation of what it means to have an independent mind. The truth is that you do not even deserve to be thought of the shadow that represents the real thing.Question is, did Ivory Coast score an own goal to make Zambia win?Are you always this daft or is today just a special occasion for you?
Mukufwaya ukumoneka abamano mulayi mweneshamofye ubupuba!! I could have asked you to give credit where it was due but clearly you do not have the capacity to reach such a noble height!! Nga taukwete ifyakulanda kalale!!

I am not sure why pple like Alien ( and by the way the name just suits him). He is obviously alien to zambia and we are fine by that because we wouldnt want to be associated with the likes of him. He is such a sad low life with such a low IQ he cant even appraise what is normal and what is not. I really feel sad for this nobody and my God what is he doing on here? The fact that he can bring his silly mind here tells you that he is so shallow minded and lacks integricy.
Alien let us celebrate while you go hang yourself, *****

Where are Drogba’s disciples? people must understand that West Africans are not better talented than us, it’s just their proximity to Europe that has made them more accessible to European soccer scouts, so stop turning yourselves into disciples of these people, coz given the same opportunity to play in Europe, most of our players can perform even better. Note also that those star so much in Europe ( where there are no individual dribbling skills) always fail to shine at Afcon because they meet the masters there!

Congrats to Katongo Mayuka Kalaba Sunzu etc etc and one great Mweene and **** u Alien. Mweene you made Drogba look ordinary.
As for you Alien, please do not show a lot of your Grade 2 Group D manners here. The cup is given to ultimate winner, whether you like them or not. In this case the winner is Zambia.
