The savings are actually more than K70 million per month. Ie One Minister and Ten Deputy Ministers.
Look at their salaries saved (say K8 million per month
Accomodation (say K10 million or $2000 per month)
Fuel and Motor repairs and wear and tear (K5 million)
    Drivers salaries K2 million

I you look at thesse critically you will see that more than K70 million is saved per month.

A copper rich country like Zambia talking about saving K70 million is a disgrace. Who the hell is this deputy minister even taking about the petty amount of money.I feel ashamed the you have such cheap people in govt.

Mukwai kuti chaliweme nga balitwebeleko ama expenditures involved by the creation of new districts. We may find that while we could be saving K70M/mnth on reduced ministries, we could be spending K70M on the new districts. Tupeniko data bane!

I would be interested to learn how much is saved in total considering the creation of some districts and new Muchinga province. As much as cabinet has been reduce other spending avenues have been created.

I take it with a pinch of salt. Either the deputy ministeR (prefers calling himself deputy vicE president) is being economical with facts or he doesn’t know how many cab ministers and deputies there are in this govt. This serving translates into a minimum of K6Mil per position which when taken into perspective, makes MMD a better party. Look at the CoI, new districts, Muchinga and many more ministers being appointed. Not worth talking about

Lets look at issues in a very critical way. I voted for PF coz of the promises they made.
    1. They said the size of ministers would be reduced to save money. But a difference of 2 posts is that anything to be proud of? What ever money was saved is going to pay for the DCs who are more than the MMD time.
    2. Government vehilces have been bought for all PS,Directors, Ministers, Defence Generals as personal to holder. yet thses vehicles are parked at their homes waiting for 2 years so that they can buy them at so called book value of K5 Million after that the same people sell the cars at K100 Million.
Is this not being corrupt. Ask us government workers we shall tell you.

this man is dull..what saving is there..?silly chap..talk about real reducing..you probably have a reckless govt than the previous one..reduce the portfolios to 17 for minsiters and 10 for deputies..plus provincials 10=20
