Princes Nakatindi was a heroin of Independence struggle – Mutesa

Zambia for Empowerment and Development (ZED) president Fredrick Mutesa has described the late princess Nakatindi Wina as a heroin of the Independence struggle.

Commenting on the death of Princess Nakatindi who died on Thursday at Mill Park Hospital in Johannesburg South Africa after a heart related operation; Dr. Mutesa said the late princess was a steward for Independence struggle and the political fraternity at large.

He says she made tremendous contributions to the political landscape of Zambia during her time and that her death must be a unifying factor in the country.

Dr Mutesa says Princess Nakatindi’s death is a great loss to the nation and he has since expressed his condolences to the Wina family.

The ZED president has also urged Malawians to remain united following the death of their sitting President Bingu Wa Mutharika.

And Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) president Alex Ng’oma says Zambia has yet again lost a gallant patriot who labored tirelessly to fight for the country%u2019s freedom.

Dr. Ng’oma who is also a political scientist tells Qfm in an interview that Princess Wina will greatly be remembered for her contributions to Zambia’s political and social development.

Princess Nakatindi was evacuated to South Africa after it became evident that she required urgent specialist Medical attention and passed away on Thursday at around 22:30 hours after a heart related operation.

    Sad that she has passed.

    Declaring her a herione is another matter. Yes, she served in grz but sorry folks. Just having been elected does not qualify her for status.

    What laws did she pioneer?

    What change did she pish for that has left an indelible mark on our history?

    Can we see some academic/ professional papers she authored?

    Sorry, I am no longer considering anyone to be important or a hero for just being present.

    All the MP’s out there that cannot state what serious piece of legislation they led the charge to have enacted or can show that they were more than warm bodies, farting in parliament, do not deserve the right or privalege of being addressed as honorable. I would rather regard them as the ‘*****’ from XY constituency!

    @scrat?
    Looks like your recollection of Zambian political history starts at 1973. Take a short lesson. The Winas (Arthur, Sikota & Nakatindi did more for Zed than many of these present day academic politicians. They can fart all they want but they can’t out do the late Princess.
