Get Involved Zambia Executive Director Father Frank Bwalya has observed that certain statements republican president Michael Sata makes undermine confidence in the presidency.
Commenting on President Sata’s statement in which he described the Sebastian Zulu-led commission of inquiry report on radar contracts for the three international airports as useless and wondered whether the Justice Minister was trying to protect Dora Siliya, Father Bwalya said such statements raise doubts on the government’s fight against corruption.
Fr Bwalya said such statements by the head of state have the potential to further undermine the people%u2019s confidence in the Patriotic Front government.
He says there is need for the president’s advisors to advise him on the comments he makes in public.
Father Bwalya says if left unchecked, such statements have the potential portray that the PF’s fight against corruption is targeted at certain individuals.
