Fee-Paying Police Cells

It may sound crazy idea to some reader but I am convinced it will be original and helpful to Zambians.
After reflection on hospital services and arrest of some politicians who have asked for special treatment when are lock up in police cells I thought it will be helpful, to build FeePay Police cells so that are kept clean “Self contained rooms”.
I am fully aware some will find it weird because is very new and they have never heard about it. My argument if hospital have special FeePay wards why not police cells. In fact if we have different treatment to patients depending on richness why can we not do it to Police cells also.
The money raised to FeePay Police cells will:
-Help improve other ordinary Cells
-The decongest the ordinary cells
-Will be the way to take money from the rich to use in the society
-And is good income for police service
This will not be new even police bond “bail” is determined by wealth and influence of the person. The truth is no-matter whatever we will decide even in crime people are treated by wealthy, authority and power they have in society. I appeal to people responsible for make decision to think on this idea.

Your idea is mmmmmmmmm iI think is ok especially if we look at the way the money raised will be used for but I think let us differenciate between a sick person and a criminal can you imagine some one murders your sister or daughter gruesomely and then they book themselves in a self contained cells how would you feel no need any criminal, muder, serial killer,armed robber deserve to be at chimbokaila or pina block period. You why keep a criminal in wel ventilated and specious room they must see the difference feel the weight period.

Its a rubbish Idea.
Prisons v just to b mentained clean like the ones in USA and should v classes thats all.

I was locked up at kamwala remand for a week. I was treated like a king cause I had money. No cash allowed in prison they use cigarettes as cash. I gave the captian one carton of cigarettes I got my own bed with a mosqito net lol. I felt sorry for the poor they sleep on the floor packed in a can of sardines.

i thot th reason 4 these cells were 2 instil som punishment 4 the wrongs commited.it will b pointless if treated as a special or high cost inmate….its a gud idea in hospitals not in cells.

Please, stop thinking like that, every one will want to go to prison or police cells because it will be luxurios, if i were you, i would advise the prisons or police to come up with better programs to help people reform. Things like introducing schools, anger managment etc.
Offcourse our prisons need to be clean, its the goverment;s job to ensure that the are enough mattresses and good well cooked food for everyone.
Stop the wishful thinking because the wealthy will never feel the punishment of been in jail or polic cells.

I beg you not to insult me or my comment.
Did you know that quite a good number of people without legal representation go to cells, remand or even jail not because they are criminals, but that they do not how to speak the legal language. Imagine yourself being arrested for something that you are really not responsible for, and then justice is being delayed. Would you not be happy to be kept in a clean fee paying room where you can patiently wait for justice to set you free? I would love to.
I am not advocating for criminals not to be punished, but everyone is innocent until proven guilty, until then let everyone be treated with dignity.

Imagine yourself being arrested for something that you are really not responsible for, and then justice is being delayed. Would you not be happy to be kept in a clean fee paying room where you can patiently wait for justice to set you free? I would love to.
I am not advocating for criminals not to be punished, but everyone is innocent until proven guilty, until then let everyone be treated with dignity. Let government just put structures in place to ensure cases are fast tracked and justice is delivered soonest. Let everyone of us also flee from the appearance on any situation that is likely to end you in cells or have you become a suspect until proved innocent.
