Dear Editor,
Please kindly help us to reach out to the current government we are tired of waiting and full of lying to us.
This is James Simwanza from Nakonde Muchinga province.. I recently graduated from cbu. I have a degree in biology Education but due to lack of jobs in Zambia I decided to help my father who is currently ill and need medical attention.
I decided to start farming with my father so that we could raise money for his medication and we took maize to FRA last year where we were hoping to get paid on time and help my poor father pay bills for his medication and also for my family too but up to now nothing has been paid to us by the government and it’s really hurting me seeing how my father is suffering.
I’m sure there are also other people in the same condition but the government is just quiet on us farmers and doing nothing about it. I have no job but I decided to be a farmer and yet the government is mocking us such that most farmers and my fellow youths who are hard working have suffered because of the selfish behavior with our leaders.
Please help the poor farmers to reach out to the government, We are tired of waiting. If this continues how will the country survive without food and if the government can’t pay farmers on time?
Will the government manage to import food? Let’s say no to poverty in Zambia and support farmers.
Thanks for your space.
