TB JOSHUA PROPHESIED ZAMBIA’S HISTORIC AFCON VICTORY (VIDEO INCLUDED)

By Makweembo Manasa

“I know you have a game now which you want to watch,” Joshua began, speaking in a church service televised live on Emmanuel TV, a station very popular across Africa, especially in Zambia. “Today is the final and you want me to talk about it.” Joshua, who similarly predicted Ghana’s historic victory in the 2009 U-20 World Cup, said victory would be for the underdogs.

Yes, this blessing is for a country you are not expecting; this victory is for a country you are not expecting.” With Ivory Coast going into the match as overwhelming favorites, replete with many Premier League and European stars, it is clear who Joshua was referring to.

Although known for speaking in parables when prophesying, the fact that Joshua was talking about Zambia became even more apparent as he proceeded to explain that God wanted the nation in question to rejoice because of a past tragedy.

“God wants to make them happy because of the victims of what happened to them in the past. Yes, this is joy; everybody will celebrate. That will make them forget about the past record of what happened to the same country… This is a day of forgetting, and dancing!”

The last time Zambia reached the AFCON final in 1994, it was just a year after 18 members of Zambia’s national football team died tragically in a plane crash in Libreville, Gabon. It was an event that shocked the entire nation and wiped out several of their brightest football stars. En route to the final, the current team had spoken of the strength and inspiration they had gained in remembering the tragedy.

Joshua went on to mention a specific incident vital to the outcome of the game, remarkably even stating the precise time it was to occur. “God showed me the first and second halves. In the second half at 25 minutes there is a mistake… Even if you have the opportunity to enter the television where they are playing, you would enter and flog the player, ‘Why didn’t you score this thing?’ ” You will face the goalkeeper and play it out, over the bar. Face to face with the goalkeeper and you now play it outside. Is that not a big mistake? That is the goal that would have given you the Cup. Now, it is taken to the other side.”

The ensuing events seemed to follow in the footprints of the prophet’s declaration, specifically the penalty miss of Ivorian striker Didier Drogba in the 70th minute, the 25th minute of the second half. The Chelsea FC striker ballooned the ball high over the bar, a miss uncharacteristic of the prolific goal-scorer and one that almost certainly cost Ivory Coast victory.

With the game ending goalless, a dramatic penalty shoot-out was to decide the victor. As Zambia’s Stophira Sunzu emphatically scored his team’s match-winning penalty, scenes of chaotic joy rippled across Zambia. The tragic events of 1993 were forgotten as victory against the tournament favorite’s sparked nationwide rejoicing and celebrations that continued far into the night.

Prophet T.B. Joshua is well known in Zambia for his accurate prophetic messages and extensive charitable endeavors. Hundreds of Zambians take a pilgrimage to his church in Lagos, Nigeria on a weekly basis, seeking a miracle from God. Online videos from The SCOAN website show over 100 prophecies Joshua has given relating to worldwide events such as the death of iconic pop star Michael Jackson and the recent fuel protests in his native Nigeria.

ALl countries went through a painful past and all countries were not expected to win. What a clever way to use similarities between the two.

ok guys, i think you all need to cease fire. If you put God so much into these discussions, you cheapen what He is and what He stands for. The problem with todays christianity is trying so much to attribute all events to either God or the Devil. When one dies in a car crash, for example, the pastor thanks God for taking him to heaven, yet his partner who has just survived the same crash also wants to thank God for keeping them safe….!!!! In this case, God loves Zambia above Ivory Coast!!!??? If thats purely the case, i would rather be an Egyptian, more favoured tahn any other African (and when you deeply think with this logic, then the big man upstairs decriminates among His children). And before I go, the true God is Brazillian, since they have won the world cup more often than any other country. This is how worshipping Sun gods, Lunar gods, earth gods, etc started.

Langford, you obviously need an education. Allow me..

Ivory coast has experienced more pain, death, conflict and suffering in the last 20 years than you can ever imagine. So as tragic as the Gabon disaster was, we shud not assume to have the monopoly of tragedy over the Ivorians or anyone else for that matter..

Read Matthew 7:21-23.. A man of God is manifested by teaching and doing what is in God’s word the bible, not by predicting a football match. In fact Jesus said that even false prophets would ‘perform powerful works’, hence the caution to be careful in this regard.
What about all these years we were losing? did we not have God’s favour? were we not God’s children? did God favour other nations mare than us? Do not assume to have a monopoly of wisdom on the basis of believing in everything you hear or see..

I agree that God had a hand in us winning the game on Sunday. However stop giving praise to man and give glory to God period!!!!!!!!!!…. TB Joshua, TB Joshua… a mere man, a mortal deserves no praise but only him who is above, the author of all things belongs praise and glory!! we praise Thee Father!!!

It doesn’t matter what you all say! We’ve had false prophets like this Joshua creature that have ended up having sex with sisters in the church…even brethrens. This man is no different from those. Why weren’t we watching this video all over Zambia the day before the match? Is prophecy something you should conceal? Infact i wouldn’t be surprised to find that he had paid some chaps here to post supporting rubbish so he can have more followers to pay for fuel for his private jet.

Well ladies and gentlemen, I cant help but also make a comment on some of you characters who want to joke with anointed men of God. You can say whatever you wish against sangomas but watch you mouths when you speak ill about men of God.
Yes, the devil even today is working wonders, but that not stop men of God prophesying or speaking the mind of God.We won because God gave the grace to our players to be determined and focused. Bless Zambia

The holy scripture says the word of God is foolishness to those that are persishing. The things of God cannot make sense to those who have deliberately chosen to ignore and continuously refuse to accept salvation so freely given. Jesus said to Nicodemus ” unless a man is born again he CANNOT ENTER THE KINGODOM OF GOD. The grace of God upon Temitope Joshua’s life cannot be grasped or understood by a mind that is carnal. It will appear as foolishness and therefore it will not and cannot be appreciated. It is a sad development and therefore I would just caution those that are laughing at the man for his wonderful propecies, take heed. Read in the old testament what happened to those children who laughed at the prophet Elisha.

MWATA the video could have been shot any time and posted after winning. Death does not select and any one can die at any time. The problem i see here is that people are believing in a man and not GOD. Everything has its appointed time and space and therefore when it happens let no man confuse you.
We have been participating all this time to win the trophy who is that one that should tell me that someone predicted the victory. Do not fear when you see these things they are all meant to pass and become history just like you and me are dust and clay from which we eventually return too.
FEAR GOD AND GIVE HIM GLORY FOR HE HAS HIS APPOINTED TIME AND NOT MAN.

There is no prophet of God who draws glory to himself, otherwise such a one is FALSE!!! And pipo should know that whatever God wants to say to us is written in His Word. The Word of God is complete, what man just does now is to interpret Scripture and speak from there. Not ifya ma prophecies/dreams or visions!!!

man can be so funny. he’d prefer to honour predictions made by the animal called OCTOPUS and FORTUNE TELLERS which is prohibited in the bible. AND when a man of God stands up to speak the deep things of God, man becomes uncomfortable. PLEASE STOP SPEAKING ABOMINABLE WORDS ANGAIST THE MAN OF GOD OR YOU’L END UP FIGHTING GOD.

Let us be realistic here. Ivorians have under gone more sufferings than us, thanks to their leaders. Though we lost our countrymen (painful) it would be folly to use that as a yardstick. Yes we follow men of God but we should be rational abt it. Witches can easily foretell the future, those who r posessed easily do that (ingulu). Where do we stand?

KEY WORDS IN THE PROPHECY BELIEVE IT OR NOT “THE COUNTRY NOT EXPECTED TO WIN” NOW DID ANYONE OTHER THAN ZAMBIANS EXPECT TO WIN! “THE MISTAKE IN THE SECOND HALF” IN THE FIRST PLACE THAT WAS NOT A PENALTY, TO BALOON THAT BALL! TO BE HONEST I HAVE NOT FOLLOWED THIS MAN BUT BY THIS PROPHECY AND THE COMMENTS AGAINST THE MAN, IT REMINDS OF THE WAY CHRIST WAS REJECTED. IF IT IS IN THIS GENERATION WE COULD STILL HAVE REJECTED HIM, ESPECACIALLY THAT KNOWLEDGE HAS INCREASED, WE QUESTION EVERYTHING!

  43. Pragmatist 2012

    February 14, 2012 at 10:13 pm

You mean prediction by guesing is prophesy? I pragmatist 2012, formerly pragmatist 2011 have made a number of correct predictions on this and other sites. Have I proclaimed myself a prophet? No. All discenment and insight searching are preserves of the All Mighty God. He alone is the Omniscient. He alone is the Omnipresent. He alone is the Omnipotent. Let not a walkling mortal deceive you by cunning behaviour based on psychological warfare.

There are many people including myself who made accurate predictions as to the outcome of matches between rival teams in the just ended AFCON. Why drawing the attention to one TB Joshua. Some minds can really be so simple. They can easily be swayed by simple psychological gimmicks.
