However, as a Christian Nation, Zambia does not subscribe to practices that are contrary to our Christian values and principles.
It is for this reason that we are urging the Zambian people to reject political leaders, who are bent on promoting alien practices that hold the potential to contaminate our culture, as gay rights and same sex marriage are both unZambian and unChristian.

Kwena ba Lungu
I am honestly perplexed at how the President found himself talking about gay rights in New York! Gay right!
How are they even on a list of issues that should concern the President right now ?
Look
1. We are having 14 hour power cuts.
2. The informal sector that employs majority poor Zambians is bleeding due to those power cuts.
3. We have a desperate hunger crisis in parts of the country.
4. Mealie-meal and fuel prices are through the roof.
5. Vodacom has closed taking down many jobs.
6. We have a frightening constitutional amendment bill going through Parliament
7.Government is broke because of shocking wastage and stealing of recklessly borrowed money.
8. Hospitals have no medicine.
9.There is an explosion of youth unemployment and desperation.
10. The public is desperate for a press briefing that addresses these issues but the President resolutely refuses to hold one leaving the country feeling patently leaderless.
Then the President makes some random statement about how he imagines that removing him from office will bring gay rights to Zambia.

As the nation awaits the official presentation of the 2020 National Budget by Finance Minister Bwalya Ng’andu in Lusaka tomorrow amidst the high cost of living, Power outages and suffering intense effects of Climate Change, the Operation Young Vote OYV says the country is expectant of a user friendly budget which should accommodate all and be supported by all.
Speaking in Lusaka today, OYV Executive Director Guess Nyirenda said the budget must provide clear indicators, measures and investment in having duty bearers working closely with the citizens in finding solutions to problems that confront the country.
Mr. Nyirenda said the budget must clearly show an interest in the fight against corruption but incentivizing the whistle blowers and also providing better allocations to the institutions of governance.
“The budget, while it endeavor to address issues raised about the theme “Accelerating Sustainable Development for a Better Zambia Amidst the impact of Climate Change” in the state of nation address by President Edgar Chagwa Lungu, it must be reflective of the day to day social economic challenges, poverty as well as hunger situations citizens are currently in,” Mr. Nyirenda noted.
He added that OYV expected a budget that provided for speedy, manageable and consistent development in the face of climate Change and its impact.
“It would be wishful thinking if you have a budget that is not alive to the poverty and hunger that is ravaging the majority of households in the country. The hunger in the country is real, how then does the 2020 budget resolve the widespread hunger while encouraging and motivating the hungry population to venture into agriculture in a diversified sense not only for food security but also for good nutrition and health food, “he added.
Mr. Nyirenda said OYV is expectant to see how the budget will float practical ways of tackling the reality of climate change.
He added that the policy of purchasing of furniture and other school and office material and equipment from the youth enterprises and cooperatives must not be rhetoric and a myth but be actualized in the budgetary indicators to be given by the Minister of Finance.
“On mining and tourism, OYV expects the budget to allude to and pay particular attention to the targeted review of the APRM in the two sectors that Zambia will be embarking on with the collaboration of the continental APRM Secretariat between the end of this year into 2020, so as to shape a progressive trajectory and embrace ways of harnessing dividends,” Mr. Nyirenda stressed.

“I am happy to partner with Kwacha Production in fashion designer. This is a great opportunity for me to showcase my talent to another level. Designing is what I do best and as an old adage goes “when you are good you are good”. I will ensure that I work hard to make sure that the project lives beyond my legacy,” she said.
According to the contract spotted by this media house, Fargy will be a main artiste in the music production under Kwacha music production.
While her peers are indulging in illicit activities, Rapper, song writer, music manager and clothes designer Fargy is making a difference in the country dominated by men.
At 21, Fargy is getting on top easily like bush fire and this is something that has been earned from hard work.
But who is Fargy
I was born on 30th June 1997 in Lusaka, University Teaching Hospital(UTH) to be precise. I am second born in the family of seven.
I started my education in the early 2000 at Bwacha Primary School before graduating to Bayuni Basic School in Lusaka’s Makeni Area. I completed my high school at Kasisi Girls, a Catholic Convent School.
After completing school, I decided to take professional studies at the Copperbelt University where I obtained a diploma in Banking and Finance. Other than that I studied Computer Programming in Lusaka.
Music career
My music career can be traced back from my school days where I started stage rapping, dancing and school debates. I could on many occasions do stage comedy. One day, I was invited to perform in Makeni Villa at a musical show. After putting up a splendid performance, a named local artiste encouraged me to take up rap as a part time career.
As a result of this show, I signed a lucrative music deal with Ambassador Wine where I was an ambassador for the Wine selling fame. I would give a speech, perform on live stage to entice customers to buy the products…it was fun and I got a lot of exposure.
In September last year, I performed at Casper Nyovest’s show and this event was important to me as it fully exposed me to a lot of funs who had flocked to Woodlands Stadium to have a glimpse of famous artistes like my cousin Cleo, Mark2, Bobby East, Slap D, Hush, Queen Classic and Casper, the famous South African artiste.
It was like dream come true for me to perform along side a genre of great musicians and interestingly, when I went on stage, I took over the show, as revelers kept on chanting my name.
In terms of recording music, I have worked with producer Dro on the hit song “you are badder” which shot my fame to the sky. Having completed this project, I worked with J.O.B of DASIM Studios and together we did songs like Delela me, Shimiyeye, Ma chills, cigarette and Whisky.

Tutwa Ngulube
Reacting to the decision by the Constitutional Court(ConCourt) to refuse to grant an order of injunction to Law Association of Zambia(LAZ) president Eddie Mwitwa and prominent lawyer John Sagwa and an application of an injunction where they were stopping the National Assembly from subjecting bill 10 to the select commitee as well as stopping the President from assenting to a bill/or also to move to second and third readings, Mr Ngulube said this is a clear sign that what campaigners of bill 10 had told them in the beginning is now beginning to show.
“I think it is very embarrassing that lawyers in a country like Zambia should engage in an activity where they should now try to block Parliament from passing laws… I think the ruling by the Constitutional Court is clear that you cannot stop Parliament from passing any law and you cannot find a way to interfere with the internal affairs of Parliament,” Mr Ngulube said.
He said Mr Mwitwa and Mr Sagwa should accept that the decision of the Constitutional Court is final and cannot be challenged.
“The ruling by the Constitutional Court is final, just like all decision of the ConCourt are final and they have no way of appealing anywhere …and there is no way they are going to reverse such kind of a decision. All we can say is that this is a time we should unite as a country and find practical solutions so that the Constitutional Making Process has integrity and also has a way on how it will unite this country. We cannot always be running to courts because the courts were not meant to solve people’s problems, the courts are there for difficult situations where human-beings have failed to interpret, the court will come in to help,” he said.
Mr Ngulube said the Constitutional Making Process should not be politicized.
“But I think it is wrong to take a political stance on a Constitutional matter as it defeats the entire purpose for which the Constitutional Court was created. With this, we would like to urge LAZ to withdraw those proceeding and find a way of engaging with the executive so that together we can come up with a Constitution that will be respected by all Zambians,” he said

The opposition UPND’s assertions that their leader Hakainde Hichilema is running the country are not only baseless, misleading, a scheme calculated to gain cheap political mileage, but also tantamount to treason.
However, the Zambian people gave President Edgar Lungu the mandate to govern the country until 2021, and not Hichilema.
It’s a plain truth that Hichilema has been rejected five times at the ballot box by the Zambian people.
Nevertheless, Zambian DNA is not surprised by the opposition leader’s hypocrisy of pretending to be in the driving seat when in fact he is just puffed up with the appetite for power.
We urge the Zambian people to be wary of Hichilema and his allies’ attempt to wrestle power from a democratically elected Republican President.
As for the British Government’s financial aid to Zambia, it’s a normal Government -to-Government support, and not as alleged by UPND.

Fri, 20 Sep 2019 15:26:20 +0000http://tumfweko.com/?p=80492Their is a very dangerous western cartel working around the clock to undermine the Zambian governing powers.
HH recently declared hunger a national disaster
UK recently released relief food days after Hakainde decision to declare hunger a national emergency despite the government repeatedly assuring the nation that the situation was under control and the current stock was enough to cover for the drought affected areas too until the next harvest.
This comes days after Hakainde was pictured distributing bags of mealie meal in Bauleni, an area that hasn’t been directly affected by droughts and an area that has more than enough food inclusive of mealie meal.
Before Hakaindes childish hunger crisis proclamations, the man went on top of every ant hill claiming the government has been distributing maize bran in the affected areas, obviously doing so to market himself to foreign powers.
DFIDs relief food to Zambia appears very timely and shocking all together looking at how an NGO headed by the united kindom can quickly heed to a mere desperate citizens call of a hunger crisis in Zambia and choosing to ignore the governing authority of that very nation
is it not the very kingdom that has been publishing African confidential articles articulating rubbish about Zambia and Africa as a whole?
Is it not clear enough that these kingdoms want to grasp power in Africa by any means necessary, even if it means planting puppets like Hakainde to discredit the government.
Be warned, the day this man will be ushered in, will be the day Zambia will be sold

http://tumfweko.com/2019/09/20/ambition-never-ends-kk-as-texila-american-university-holds-second-scholarship-award-ceremony/
Fri, 20 Sep 2019 13:19:20 +0000http://tumfweko.com/?p=80486Ambition never comes to an end, insists Dr Kenneth Kaunda, as he pays special tribute to Texila American University(TAU) for awarding scholarships to deserving students.
And Texila American University says it recognizes the growing need for quality education to be accessible to all.
Meanwhile, Dr Kaunda told scholarship recipients that the opportunity that has been granted to them has comes at a huge cost and the finest way to pay back is by getting into the industry and change the world.
Dr Kumar Poddar
Texila American University has continued to award deserving student scholarships in Medicine, Pharmacy, Nursing, Health Professions Foundation Program, Business Administration and Public Health.
The Second Annual TAU Scholarship Award Ceremony dubbed Kenneth Kaunda Scholarship benefited a total of 25 Zambians who applied to study in various courses at TAU and is worth around 1.5 Million Kwacha.
Journalists and student listen attentively as scholarship award ceremony proceed
On the momentous occasion, the first Zambian leader who spoke through his fourth son, Tilyenji said the importance of the health-care industry can not be overemphasized, saying the demand for quality health-care can not be ignored
“You will agree with me that there is a great need for well trained and competent people in the health-care industry. The demand for quality health-care can not be ignored, now more than ever. That is simply because we all depend on it. Lives are saved from the most complicated illnesses because people are working tirelessly to do necessary research and to ensure that every citizen gets equal opportunities to health-care facilities and access to medication and medical personnel,” Dr Kaunda said.
He said with population growth and technological advancements, it’s necessary for the nation to have driven and ambitious young people putting in all their effort in seeing to it that Zambia, and Africa in general, gets the best personnel.
“… That means people with a heart of service. It is no secret that we still have a long way to go as a nation to get to our intended patient-doctor ratio. But if you all decide on individual basis to do your very best, in your own way, you will make a tremendous difference. Each one of you has a role to play in your communities, whether you believe that or not. If you do not, you can start now,” Dr Kaunda said.
He added: “Ambition never comes to an end, and we sincerely hope this is only the beginning of an industrial revolution that will see this country and continent achieve great things that will bring massive transformation in health-care and all other facets of life.
Dr Kaunda urged scholarship recipient to repay the university with hard work, because the opportunity given to them had come at a cost.
“I sincerely believe that this scholarship is will aid your journey towards what could be the greatest and most life-changing times in your life. This opportunity that has been granted to you has come at a huge cost and the finest way to pay back is to get into the industry and change the world! We believe in you and we know you will not let us down,” the first Zambian leader said.
Dr Kaunda said his vision for “education for all” is being realized through the scholarship award offered by Texila American University.
“KK’s vision for education for all is being realized through this scholarship and the best ‘thank you” you can give is to grab the opportunity and run with it with so much vigor and ambition. Do not stop at anything. Let your goals be so clear that you will not stop at anything till you achieve them. I will say it again, “Ambition never comes to an end,” Dr Kaunda who is a school teacher by profession said.
He concluded by encouraging Texila to continue to give back to the Zambian community through more of such gestures.
“…And to the recipients, we believe in you and your abilities. I encourage you to work hard and bring the change you want to see in this nation and society in general,” he said.
And Textila American University Registrar, Dr Vijay Kumar who earlier Spoke on behalf of Prof Ajay Kumar Poddar maintained the university’s aim to redefine and revolutionize international education by offering updated, modern and excellent training in areas of Health Sciences, Information and Communication Technology, Management, Education, Applied Science and all possible that a learner seeks to engage with TAU.
He said it is TAU’s vision to high quality, research driven education that transforms students into responsible, educated, employable and entrepreneur citizens.
“Our main goal to make sure that when you are done with your studies, ready to take your steps in an exciting and rewarding career,” Prof Poddar said, adding: “As Texila American University, we recognize the growing need for quality education to be accessible to all. These young ladies and gentlemen you see here are the future of this nation, continent and the world as a whole. Quality education should not be far fetched for them. It is for this reason we initiated scholarship plan for which we have received overwhelming response from students and parents. It has been extremely difficult for us to select and declare scholarships to only few students because students who had applied for the scholarship seemed equally deserving. The response is proof of the deep hunger that this generation has to be equipped for life,” he said.
Prof Poddar showered praises on Dr Kaunda for being passionate about quality education.
“As TAU, we saw it fit to honor him(Dr Kaunda) and his contribution to the education sector,”

The Opposition in Zambian is a national disaster as some of them have lamentably failed to provide checks and balances to Government.
Suffice to mention that some opposition parties have abandoned their critical role by assuming they‘re the ones in the driving seat when in fact not.
One typical example is that of UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema who recently ‘declared’ hunger situation in the country as a national disaster when he does not wield such powers.
However, the Zambian constitution vests powers to make such declarations in the Republican President who is Edgar Chagwa Lungu, and not Hichilema.
We advise the opposition leaders in the country to desist from engaging in activities that are tantamount to usurping powers of the Republican President.
We are alive to President Lungu’s directive to Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU) that no Zambian should die from hunger.
Indeed, the DMMU has been distributing food relief to hunger –hit areas in all parts of the country in line with the presidential directive.
Whilst citizens are welcome to make donations towards mitigating hunger situation in the country, we expect them to work in collaboration with the DMMU.
However, we have noted with dismay that some donations made by a known opposition leader recently in Lusaka were meant to gain cheap political mileage, and not out of concern for the hunger-stricken people.
In view of the foregoing, it’s abundantly clear that the opposition in Zambia is a national disaster.
